Unboxing: Warhammer Shadespire – Ironskull’s Boyz
October 10, 2017 by dignity
The Orruks are returning to the Warhammer Underworlds in Shadespire from Games Workshop.
Ironskull's Boyz are here to conquer with brute force and a little Orruk kunnin', with upgrade cards such as 'Ard Head and Punch-Up these guys are a force to be reckoned with.
Which faction are you looking for in Shadespire?

I never really see them as different from ard boys or black orcs with the new orcs just seems more like a focus of that. Fan of the leader but the rest don’t really do as much but always been a fan of orcs.
Really like the new orcs, if i was going for AOS, it would be Urruks
Nice video gents. Well paced, neatly delivered and covered everything I was looking for for this faction box. I did prefer the scale and style of some of the older Orc designs, but these 4 look more appealing than some of the other new AoS era ones. I have been painting up my Storm of Sigmar box recently and it has really encouraged me to look at Shadespire to continue that painting fun. I think I am GW’s target for this game. Not really interested in making a massive AoS army, but love skirmish games and love painting fantasy minis.… Read more »
I get Az’s point about the armour, it’s effectively like playing WoW and collecting the tier sets to get the set bonuses
yeah, getting that ‘missing part’ as a gimmick of these things sucks.
Especially if you don’t intend to get any of the other sets.
And to add insult to injury you’re buying this blind, so you need unboxings to even know what boxes to buy in order to minimize cost.
Crappy move IMHO
I like them, but for me the Sepulchral Guard are still the best Shadespire miniatures until now, but these Orcs are second.
I like these, until the Fyrelayers get released this may be my faction.
Great video guys.
If I understood the designers correctly in the dice tower video they expect you to buy the core set plus all expansions thats why you probably have no extra boards but different universal cards in the expansions. Im pretty sure GW will release separate boards and card sleeves as well same what they are doing for Blood Bowl.
Card sleeves for the Stormcast and Khorne guys are mentioned in the White Dwarf, no pictures just the price 6,50€/5 pounds and that they will be released on the same day as the core set.
they are great looking Orks.
Im going to be tempted to grab all of these over time (once money is sorted)
But cant help but wonder what the coats of the expansions are going to be
The base game was a surprisingly reasonable $95 here is Australia
The Orruks is my least favorite warband, tied with the Khornites xD
Seen the miniatures they look better than expected, but I have not rush to pick them up.
Im starting to get excited by GW again – thats great. Loving this new CEO
