Over all thats not very impressive. I have seen better looking sky fortress in movie Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow.
At least the Spartan games version you don’t have to put up with Angelina Jolie.
I reality this mini is what got me into the game. Its big for the cost you pay. It makes GW finecast all the more a rip off on you pocket when you see the SG prices.
Lovely model. And yes the one in Sky Captain was nicer. But, there is a big difference between CGI and real world miniatures. Not to mention that sky captain was going for a mid 1900’s century look. And Spartan Games are going for late 1800. Your comparing post WW2 to Victorian steam.
And I will say it again. It would have been nice if Spartan Games had 2 down loadable fleets. That you could print off. So you could try out the game first. They did it with their 2 other games.
And
P.S.: Holy snap that is a big modle.
It’s a bit late in the week, but try suggesting some cut-out fleets with stats to the BoW guys, they might be interested in producing a try-out PDF file, to use after watching the getting started videos. They did a fantastic job on the Infinity starter rulebook.
