Andy gets his hands on some of the Exemplar Vengers from the Protectorate of Menoth to have a look at, and tells us just what he thinks of these very nice looking models.
I don’t know if it’s me, but looks like your video is blocked in US too. After problems in Germany, now it’s in USA, yeahhhh. Why does youtube block it? 🙁
I believe the “decorative” shield should be positioned on the fist, facing the front of the knight : It’s not very large and it has a concave edge near the neck because it’s used mainly to deflect lances in a joust. It’s meant to be held close to the body…
Not that the overall equipment of those knights looks at all practical or realistic, mind you.
I don’t like cavalry units anyway.
If the model could be posed like that it would be a bit better. However, the poses are more a Knight wandering about on a horse, rather than “ready for battle”.
A shame really… still they’re nice models, but they’re really only good for showing off.
If you want a fast attack unit, get the Daughters of the Flame. They’re nearly as fast (they have Acrobatics and Advance Deployment), cost fewer points and quite a bit less cash.
Oh… and they deliver 1 point of auto-damage even when they make a damage roll… on their 2 (count them) attacks!
I might give them a try them out but I don’t like the look of their cartoon horses – In your humble oppinion Andy, can you tell me if they would fit on Games Workshop Armoured or Bret horses…???
I don’t know if they would fit when assembled, but the riders lower half comes in two parts, so it would be an easy matter to reduce or increase the distance btween their legs to fit another horse.
The only problem might be the width of their skirts (they’re probably called something cool and French, but let’s call them skirts for simplicity’s sake), they might make it difficult to sit on a mount with a high saddle or armour.

Can’t watch it in Portugal either. Says that the content belongs to BoW and its not available.
Bear with us guys, we’re calling our partners in YouTube to see if they can fix things.
BoW Andy
Yeah, can’t watch it from France either…
Ah, problem solved for France ! Thank you, BoW team, once again you emerge victorious through adversity !

No, no, you’re right.
They’re skirts.
Even in French, it’s called “jupe”, meaning “skirt”.
It’s not even a tabard, in this case… Hopeless, I know.
Cheers Andy,
will have to speak nicely to my local stockist to see if they will open a box for me to compare sizes…
I’ll get back and let you know – just in case like…
I don’t collect menoth but those models would look epic on my shelf so Iwill be buying them anyway 😀
I have seen these guys do well as a counter charge unit but in that role they are more of a ‘Glass Spear’
Love to see these reruns coming back. Thanks guys appreciate the effort.
