Check out the Teutonic Knights plastic kit from Fireforge with help from your pal Darrell and his own "unique" modelling style!
first historical game iv found appealing, waiting on the Saracen’s though myself!
Knights Hospitaller are still going, independent state based in malta, army serves with Italian army and they do first aid as Order of Malta!
That shield on the flail guy clearly should be on the left hand side rather than across the horse over to the right. Break it off and fix it!
love it, so good value, in your face GW
Darrel and the caped crusaders – sound like a great comic book in the making 🙂
Those are very nicely sculpted models.
A little something on the lances those guys are carrying:

@thc303 Another one of a great series thanks
Amazing models and lots of history put into them. Will be getting a box as they fit into fantasy gaming so well.
Best priced Bretonian box around. 🙂
As for the tactical advantage of horns on the helmets; it’s for telling your opponent you’re the one who’s (religiously) nuts.
I suspect these are nice models. Note to all producers of historical figures. Please request of Beasts of War that Darrell is not allowed anywhere near your figures for a review. He loves to butcher all figures that are not GW based so they look utterly terrible.
Just goes to show how GW damages a hobbyist … poor man simply can’t put together anything sensible after all thsoe years … 😛
Darrell is a fan of Batman cos he likes to have caped crusaders!! haha (groan)
Might have to get some just to paint except the long list of stuff to do keeps growing.
The decorated helms could have the heraldic bits snipped off for plain helms.
Would be interested in some on foot for Arthurian games. This is my fave type of armour and there are some cracking illuminations in old manuscripts of the Arthurian Romances
Thanks for unboxing those knights! I would really really like you to do a size comparison to GWs figs, think that’s what most of us are wondering. I know they are smaller, but how much smaller?!
Chibi check out Gripping Beasts range. I seem to recall some order knights on foot in their range. They also do an Age of Arthur range that may appeal well to you.
Thanks Caedfel
bookmarked for future reference. There is plenty to keep me occupied so I will wait and see what develops with Fireforge first.
Darrell loves large packages….. sorry I couldn’t resist.
I’m liking these guys and will be getting some to go with my perry miniatures stuff for a KOW kingdom of men army.
