Most worthless accessory I’ve seen in a while.
I disagree, @alphawog… This is exactly what I need to store my ample stock of painting gear, plus a few WIP minis… It looks sturdy, and it’s absolutely beautiful. I hope there’s also foam trays strictly for Vallejo pots, as i’ve got a lot of them.
Also, I love to accessorize.
BoW Romain
They’ve done vallejo specific trays for a while, 37 pots per tray from memory.
They also have one to fit the current gw ones, which is also handy for Tamiya paints.
Ah yes, thank you ! I stand corrected.
BoW Romain
last time I saw they made battlefoam for all the painting companies needs
great case really want to see what the malifaux one is like
I’m going to agree with it being USELESS.
I don’t paint unlesss I’m on solid ground with a steady desk to lean on.
So unless painting on the go becomes some new super sport. This bag is just a fancy pants accessory that will take up the same cupboard space as the paints how you currently have them.
Now if you are a show/demonstation painter then is this bag any use to you, or do you prefere other ways to move your paint station?
I actually am a show/demonstration painter, and I sometimes have painting sessions at a friend’s house, or in a shop, or at a club… Or at the BoW studio. I prefer this sort of bag, as opposed to a regular bag/suitcase with cloth or tissues for padding, my gear shaking willy-nilly inside it, not necessarily protected, unsorted, at risk of opening inside the bag and soaking everything in paint… It’s a hassle to find the proper case for a WIP miniature AND you painting gear at the same time… Just as much as finding the proper container to protect a… Read more »
No wonder BOW costs so much.
Thanks for the speedy reply with the key points hammered down.
I would never use BoW’s money to buy this… I resent that a little 🙁
BoW Romain
Meant the air miles. Though now that one bag is sitting arround in the studio….?
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, there are unavoidable expenses everytime the BoW studio entertains guests… But we do it all for you !
I’m in Paris right now, I don’t know what (if anything) will be done with the bag. We have an awful lot of clutter, paint pots, minis etc. at the studio that needs to be stored in some place, and this bag might just end up on a shelf…
Who knows, though ?
BoW Romain
Actually, we picked the bag up from Romeo when he was at Battlefoam UK, for your birthday.
I said to Darrell to “do a review of that Battlefoam bag sitting in the store” and he picked up the P3 bag… as opposed to the (ahem) bag that he should’ve grabbed.
Serves me right for issuing decrees from my ivory tower, instead of being in the studio cracking the whip! 🙁
There’s one surprise spoiled…
BoW Andy
Awwwww… Guys, you shouldn’t have ! It’s an amazing gift… Thanks ! I love you to bits !
Well, there you have it… Mushy moments like on Reality TV, right there on Beasts of War…
BoW Romain
I have dozens of paints and brushes and glues and airbrushes blah blah blah, I find a £9.99 tool box does the job perfectly (although undoubtedly looks less slick!). It even has little holders in the top I can put bitz in!
Plus walking around with a tool box makes me look manly 😉
What little Darrells be like? “I want the metal Thomas Tank engine this resin one tastes funny and it flexes!”
Heh. That actually made me laugh. I can so see a toddler Darrell sitting on the floor with a resin sprue in one hand and complaining just like that.
That’s a joke now….Don’t be angry.
I want one of these bags and not for paint. I need some extra space for my new Retribution Battle engine, and this just zips on to the bottom of my existing BF Warmachine bag. Far from useless if you just look past the paints label, its just a PACK+ for the warmachine bags
Battlefoam actually does special foam trays for every battle engine out there ! I’ve seen the retribution one and his three little holes for the antennae…
BoW Romain
They don’t do foam tray for any of the models that Darrell builds… every one is unique!
Even from a standard kit, he manages to make a custom model!!!
like the good ol megalith?
Still cheaper to buy a GW army case for £35.00 get lots more in it and room for figures too, £60.00 is expensive for a bag with a zip
the closing mechanisms on a Battlefoam bag won’t randomly break on you though.
and the lid wont snap off a Battle Foam Bag
BoW Justin
Darrel is getting closer and closer to doing a video on warmachine. Good, Good. The plan is in motion.
60 GBP!!!
You are kidding, right? No surprise we have a debt crisis if people need to spend that much just to occasionally carry some little cheap pots around in style.
Games Workshop models look inexpensive in comparison.
It’s a pity GW’s own travel paint bag is only available at Xmas, now would be a good time to get it reviewed and released
£60 for that….and people say GW are expensive.
Purely not worth it in my eyes.
It IS an accessory… not something you absolutely MUST have to play and paint, unlike… miniatures, paints, glues, brushes… I’ll say no more.
BoW Romain
hhhhmmmm i like this bag i wont use it for paint tho. my friends laughed when i brought the BF warmachine case cos they all got GW cases (cos there cheaper) and now there cases are all broke and mine still like new shows you wants the better buy then ay.
