Design of those two is very much like something that Goa’ulds in Stargate might use.

Necrons are now not only a combination of robot and skeleton (terminators with Egyptian style weapons) but master of open top, non-fast skimmers.
I wonder how long before the plastic Lord turns up on bitz sites? It’ll probably be expensive when it does…but building the Annihilation Barge or magnetizing the command option with room for the Lord’s base will give you that separate model too.
Does the lord still fit on the barge if he is on his base?

Yes also the finecast lords and the named characters fit
He didn’t mention it, but they did fix the problem with the flying base, at least that’s what it feels like. Now the slot where the flying stand goes in extends around a small portion of the stand where the little nub is, effectively adding a second slot around the first. It’s pretty sturdy, and when I accidentally bent the stand while it was inside the vehicle, it didn’t break, in fact it almost separated the pieces where the slot was. xD
