Darrell decides to spruce up his Space Marines using some resin bits from Maxmini... what will he think of them?

Perfect stuff for custom Iron Snakes mods.
Wow… This is why i love BoW gives me some great ideas for conversions…
Thanks
Have to say I’m impressed.
I prefer the second hammer with the pointed bit on the back, not a fan of the big shoulder pads at all, nor the helmets (I think some of the recent blood angels/black templar helmets are pretty much perfect) but all the shields look great.
I’ve been wondering about these alternatives for a while, I’ve been pricing up a new blood angels style army, and the amount of boxes you need to buy to get all your guys with the same style weapons is frightening. this could be a potential solution.
It’s very unlike Darrell to like big daft helmets on the marines as this only makes them easier to see and therefore be shot at. What has happened to you? 🙁
I like the look of a lot of stuff from maxmini any chance of some more reviews of there stuff
awesome bits
Would be good for converting some Adeptus Custides i think
I like the hammer and the lion shield is pretty uber for dark angels =) the hats and shoulders are a whole lot of fugly realy.
Looks great, thanks for the link Darrell, having looked through the rest of their collection there’s some very promising wolf cloaks and interesting alternative heads for space wolves conversions.
Fantastic little additions for your marines. Would be great to do a full chapter in that style.
I’ve bought from MaxMini before and the quality of their stuff is excellent. However, be wary of models you are looking to uprgade with their kits, because i ordered the ‘mutations’ conversion bits pack for my CSM’s and they only turned out to be scalable with Imperial Guard. They looked far too small for the SM models. Luckily tho, there are comments sections for each item for sale so look at them first for any info if unsure.
Just like darrell to want the shield with the lion eating a piece of bacon on it. Keep up the good work!
Excellent I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what an incredible army you can make from this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool stuff, I first saw those shields when Grey Death over at The Painting Corps used them for his Sons of Medusa Terminators.
Here is a link to his completed Terminators from March.

cool stuff, though I think those shoulder pads are inteded for pre-heresy termies?
are these plastic or resin?
Darrel, Y U NO say ‘pauldron’?
These aren’t too bad… I like the shields and the weapons !
BoW ThatFrenchDude
The 3rd helmet looks very cool. Something I’d like to put on a Templar Sergeant 😀
the swords will be awsome for some space wolf war lords and lone wolves

and these for some guards

The pauldrons/shoulder pads look a million times better on terminators the size jsut isn’t right for power armour. My Logan Wing all have these pads.
Nice to see some alternative peices for the GW range.
However I think the way Darrell has put the shoulder pads on is a bit off. I would not have added the original shoulder pad underneath but rather just used the alternative.
But that may just be personal preferance.
not a big fan of these however would be good for warhammer fantasy
“Bog standard?”
