They are a bit typical of a few of the LotR plastics and probably lack the really nice detail of most of the others for some reason. If you can paint well they aren’t too back ranked up for WotR but these and the plastic rangers aren’t quite to the level of the newer stuff.
Those were one of the first minis i painted. Those are the preferred elven minis of my D&D group. Maybe i need to buy better stuff, but it works for now.
They are probably the worst in the LoTR range. The dwarves for example are very detailed.
I have no idea what they was smoking when they decided the wood elves looked great to release. They really are so flat and lifeless.
Shame really
Nice to see another LOTR vid but I feel you could have said more. You seemed a bit like you’ve just woken up. The wood elves have been under fierce critism for being too simple and dull, and also you could have said more on the weapons they had ect…
yay lotr
Always nice to see LotR vids.
I personally think that the Wood Elves look decent enough, but not great (or dreadfully terrible).
I forgot to tell about the greatest problem with those minis. The mold lines in some of the models run right in the middle of the face. I have one mini where the alignment of both sides of the face is not perfect, and it’s even more visible with the mold line. Taking of the mold lines did make it better but the face still looks strange.
