Thanks again Justin. Yes it is @$#$ beautiful. Yesterday afternoon I went to my friendly Australian Online wargaming store to attempt to buy the rule book. Sold out …. sigh. This means I am going to have to order from Warlord in Britan and wait … but bugger it ! the game looks awesome ….. and all resistance has melted away ….. i am going to try (yet another) game …… I am such a cheap gaming whore ….. sob and Justin like you at the unboxing, I thought “Hrmmm Germans look cool” now it’s a case of “Hrmmmm the… Read more »
He did say : “the future is looking a bit *grizzly* … ”
So I’m guessing there’s a grizzly bear thingy coming for the Americans.
Hope I’m posting this in the right place. Would really love to win the Konflkt 47 starter sets-really excited about this. Have been building up my German army for Bolt Action with a view to starting playing soon and this looks like a good time to get stuck into things with a 2.0 rule set for Bolt Action standard game on the horizon and now this as well. Feel free to give the prizes to me I think they will go nicely with my ever growing SS divisions.
Sgt. Rock in Power Armor. Yes please.
The war for Australia is an exciting frontier for me, red sand and kanga mechs
Hmmm trying to think of how to make them look more like US Marines. Maybe some wooden improvised armor? Id much rather figure out a way to strip the mechs down to be even lighter weight for the rough terrain of the pacific
I love the idea of the American’s in heavy armor. Sort of like an older version of space marines..
Can’t wait to see what the British get for Konlict, hope to see something cool from the Commonwealth troops as well. Maybe some Gurka’s with power kukris or even bomb throwing bangaroos.
Well of course, jetpacks. The jetpack paratroops are on the cover of the rulebook. :p
Yes this has tempted me and pushed me over the edge. As I have US as well as Soviets in Bolt Action their is no need for me to wait 🙂 As to your bear Calvary, why don’t you just go ahead and weaponize Santa’s sled why you are at it? Personally I like keeping it a little closer to real world possibilities and real feeling tech. Oddly I am usually against mecka and such in most games yest I find myself drawn to this stuff. As to BA2, having watched the game of Konflkt47 I couldn’t help but notice… Read more »
Sergeant Rock was the name I was trying to recall. The battlesuit is glorious and I like the heavy infantry a lot. Again, having a regular WW2 option for the Sherman is excellent; ditto the regular infantry.
Cleverly done Warlord & Clockwork Goblin. Nicely done on the battlesuit Justin & John. Just finish the base and it will be perfect.
Patiently waiting on Soviet starter set. However, in the meantime, started work on my own unit. Probably won’t ever see rules, but I’m having fun converting anyway. Using Armored DUST infantry to convert Soviet Rocket-infantry. Using the Grim Reapers from the Allied miniatures range. They look great in Soviet green, with a head swap for bolt action soviet heads, and replacing the HMG with a water-cooled maxim MMG. Now, here’s the idea I had to make them even more “Soviet”. Based on images leaked, it looks like Konflict will have US jet/rocket troops based on Airborne troops, so will jump… Read more »
The more Kon47 videos I watch the more I want!! Keep it up BoW!
Since we’re in weird war territory, that means that you could go full pulp with the combat markings. With things this big and stompy, camouflage discipline is basically out the window. What little bit of camo you’d need would be only on the upper torso. The legs could be painted with all sorts of slogans, trash talk and pin-up pictures. Every unit has an artist, all you’d need is paint. The NCOs let it happen because it releases tension and builds morale. Soldiers lavish attention and decorations on equipment that works well and saves their lives. Officers let it happen,… Read more »
I really like the US heavy infantry 😎
Surely the Germans will have some as well at some point…?!
looking forward to the weirder things!
Not playing Bolt Action (yet), but that light mech looks mighty tempting to put in a USAriadna force.
…..Lucky Lucy’s Cockpit”s effect is Awesome!!!!!……Damn!!!! i Was hoping for Full Helmeted Heads for the HVY INFANTRY….oHHH Well, Mod Time!!!!…. 😀
Roll on the Brits!
The American Heavy Mech (well, not sure if it’s Medium or Heavy) is the Grizzly – hence the comment. The other option is the ‘Mudskipper’, the same frame with grav capability so it can jump – it’s the mech on the rules front. Also a version of the Coyote has jump. Germans and Russians have ‘were’ types – wolves and bears respectively. And the Russians continue with the ‘super/meta’ human experiments, with average success. Wonder if the SoTR heads will mix, gas masks on the heavy infantry anyone. (most of this comes from the rules and the old CWG 15/18mm… Read more »
I want to see a CANADIAN army. One of the many reasons I’m indifferent to WW2 games is that Canada always gets the shaft.
Canadian Grizzly bear cavalry. DO IT.
the heavy troops look interersting nice video guys.
My wallet is going to hate me. Will definitely be picking up the Rulebook at the very least. The Hvy Infantry looks awesome, sort of reminds me of power armour from Fallout, and am absolutely loving the Mech, both would look good in a grey urban camo style scheme. Checked out the Clockwork Goblin Site, there are some interesting preview renders, no bear cavalry (yet?) but the is something just as awesome, and it looks like Alan Turing and co. got a lot more funding in the Konflikt’-verse, wonder what the Aircraft look like. I for one really want to… Read more »
I can’t believe how cool these new units are looking, the guys at Clockwork Goblin have done an amazing job and it is just such a good match up with Warlord. Well done guys, well done.
Definitely sold on this extension of bolt action, love the heavy soldiers they look brilliant. I feel a purchase of some sort is coming along unless I win something for a change.
In the Warlord newsletter this morning it showed the Grizzly walker for the U.S. and heavy power infantry for the Wehrmacht . Really nice additions and this is obviously ranges that Warlord are going to support. Okay I’m in …(sigh) ….(I have no self respect left )
