Konflikt ’47 Unboxing: German Heavy Infantry
September 23, 2016 by dignity
Today Justin and John are opening up some more Konflikt '47 from Warlord Games.
The German Army are ready with their Heavy Infantry, marching down the lines ready for combat. Justin's almost swayed over to the German side with these models and John wants to make an entire army based on these infantry.
How would you go about creating your platoons? Has John lost the plot?

They are cool I love mine, but they are also slow. So having an entire army that’s slow could be a problem. Essentially Konflict 47 is a stand alone game and some of the rules are a little different to bolt action although I do belive in the future they may run more in line with the Bolt action 2 rule set
Very cool design on these minis.
Officer Heavy armour is currently not a thing, though Warlord/CWG have said it will be – and I for one can’t wait for that.
Don’t forget the ‘teams’ of AT and Snipers (which use AT rifles …. What fun).
I saw on the warlord blog the british and soviet heavies, which look awesome as well.

Does anyone know if they plan to bring out army books or expanded timelines/history for K47?
Paint the eyes with a bright amber glow. Helgast?! Killzone on the table top. Very cool.
I am definitely getting a squad of these.
@justin I do exactly the same for the other games too. Basicly build the basic army no options besides if there are options you really want in and then you complete with the options and maybe additionnal units if you are below your budget.
Nice kit and good review
Bought them and have already kit bashed them with Eisenkern heads and arms.
Funny – I was thinking of the Eisenkern stuff – especially the big vehicle, a la Sdkfz.
I like these heavy infantry.
visually they look like american troops to me.
Just checking (because it’s Saturday morning and I’m a little slow) That blister with the LMGs does NOT come in the boxed set? Thanks again lads love this game and it’s minis
the would be great as siege braker troops.
Nice minis, but I have a personal quandary as to which paint scheme to use for them: German AFV Camo, German Infantry Splinter camo, SS Smock woodland camo….The options are endless…
Screw it. If I ever get these I’m painting them up as Prussian hussars with all black armor and totenkopfs painted on their Stahlhelms. 😀
Take a peak at the British version of the heavy infantry. 150 points for a 4 man squad, can add 4 more at 35 points each. AND they are all armed with LMG’s. With no comment about needing a loader. They are also as listed as being both tough and resilient. Anyone else find that to be a bit overboard?
I don’t see the investment cost of an LMG here. You gain 6 inches but lose an extra attack in CC and those 4 shos aren’t Assault so moving gets to be an issue. Also I like the idea these guys as assault troops rather than bunkers that role to me is the standard infantry role
