While Kholdun Kommander Zerkova might be a relatively new addition to the ranks of Khador. She brings with her a wealth of new spells and the arcane power to wield them.
Andy takes a look at this spellcasting warcaster and her armoury of magical items.
Ahem… The “weird little magic wand” is called a scepter, or a rod, isn’t it ?
I like the mini, very finely detailed… And she has a great fluff : A privileged relationship with Gorman Di Wulfe and her own retinue of assassins… She’s a warcaster made for leading units, that’s for sure from her spells. All in all, great character !
@elromanozo ‘Ahem… the “weird little magic wand” is called a scepter, or rod isn’t it?’
Nope… it’s a “weird little magical ice-cream cone”!
It’s too short to be a sceptre or rod and too thick to be a wand… therefor it’s a magic stick of some kind.
I love the miniature, all bar that crappy stick. I might drill it out and replace it with something a bit more impressive.
BoW Andy
Hm. Point taken. It does look like an ice cream cone, especially painted green, like on the studio paint job.
You could cut it off, drill the hand a bit, put in a longer pin, glue the “ball” of the stick on top, and you’d have a more impressive rod or staff thingie… Or a mace. Maybe with a bit of putty around it or something.
Or better yet, replace it with an axe from the trollkins…
Of course, she won’t be able to use the artifact then, but what the hell…
hey Andy, could you do a video on the blighted nyss swordsmen unit? MAT 7, P+S 11 swords with weapon master…they’re a walking meat grinder! also, could you do a peice about how units make charges…i’m not 100% clear on the specifics of it.
@deathangel – I don’t have any Swordsmen at the moment, but I do have Hex Hunters!
Would you like to see them?
BoW Andy
sure, any everblight vids are much appreciated
I just got the Hexhunters and Bayal this morning, so a vid on them would be very much appreciated!
Now i want icecream. Darn you Batman!
On a more serious note, for her Orgoth artifacts, are there any restrictions on it? Like “Use one of these a turn” or some such?
Yep, you can only choose to use one per turn, but you can keep spamming the same one if you like.
BoW Andy
You can use all three artifacts, each activation, once per casting of spell. example: you use the Lens of Tarvodh to extend the range of your Icy Grip, then cast Influence using the Focus Sphere to reduce the cost to 0, and follow that with a cast of Razor Wind using the Ghost Stone to hit a target that is Stealthed or out of your line of sight. you can never use any of the artifacts more than once per activation, nor can you use more than one artifact on the same spell at the same time. You could, if… Read more »
Yep… I just rechecked the card. That’s right.
You can use each of the artefacts once each per turn, but each use has to affect a different casting of a spell.
BoW Andy
Hey BoW,
I love watching your vids, but lately (this is not the first time) I’m being told by youtube that I can’t. I’m told they’d include content from Beasts of War, and thus are not available in my country (which would be Germany). Well I’m used to getting those messages, but only when the videos contain copyrighted material from the music industry…
I hope this can be resolved as I’d love watching your vids again. – Thanks a lot.
Same for me. I live in Germany as well and have the same problem. But its the first BoW video where that problem occured.
Allways wanted to use this caster, might give it a go now that I’ve seen the model in 3D. She doesn’t look as awefull as the stock pictures would let on.
She has fantastic fluff and a spell list that would be good in any other faction; but sadly she’s considered among the bottom of tier of Khador casters. Even with her range boosting ability she can’t cast spell a sufficient distance. What she really needs is a character jack with an arc node as an affinity. There is a theme force out there from a No Quarter that lets you take some nice Merc stuff and that might be your best choice with this gal. But for a subtle, pretty nuts caster, with great fluff; I’d take a look at… Read more »
