I think Westwood/Grindhouse’s Secrets of the Third Reich is the best WW2 skirmish game right now. Even though it’s a “Weird War” game, it could easily be used with normal soldiers. They are testing a normal varient called Berlin or Bust right now.
I think Kar comes from karabiner? Isn’t the rifle K98 K? Would it be Karabiner 98 K?

Yes the rifle is a K98K. The full name of the K98K is, Karabiner 98 Kurtz. Meaning Carbine 98 short.
My own favourite ruleset for WWII in 28mm size is AE: WWII. It’s simple, easy to learn and you don’t even have to worry about point costs.

Hi, First post for me just signed up. I know that the last post for this video was in August 2010 If you are still looking for a 28mm rules set for WW2 i would sudgest that you use Rules of Engagement by Great escape games as the bolt action minatures range was designed to forfill the squad requirements for this game. If you compare the box contents to the orders of battle for the selected army the box set should match up with the basic troops needed to form a platoon. SOTR, Rules of engagement and Rate of Fire are all solid rule sets, for pure ww2 I rate, ROF.
Loving secrets though.
Must try it out without the wierdness………
