The guys take a look at the new Open Fire boxed set for Flames of War... will this be the set to get you started with some 15mm madness?
The V1 was the grandfather of the Cruise Missile.
That is simple awesome…such a great intro box for the historical noob
This has got to be one of the best starter sets for any game out there. A good buy for a gaming club I’ll be suggesting it for a club purchase.
Incidently a lot of the reports on the radio of Doodlebugs over shooting London was disinformation trying to get the Germans to shorten their range so they would come down before they reached their target. They mainly came down short South London
Not normally into WWII but I agree completely with the above opinion, one of the best starter set’s I’ve ever seen. Everything from the plastic infantry/tanks to the impressive full colour rulebook – it all looks high quality and very well done! This could do really well if it was sold in toy-stores as well as general modelling stores IMO.
Loved the review and the building of the models. Hope you guys will do a couple of vids with the starter set for helping people learn the game. These always help me interpit the rules even though I have played a few games myself. It is always great to hear how others see different rules and how they implement them. Keep up the great work!
You’d think that by this time he would have understod that you can not see for sh*t out from a tank in that era.
Btw, nice unboxing tho. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on one of those boxes!
Actually I am not that sold on these. I am waiting for the Bolt action set from Warlord. No armour but squad skirmish appeals without the big guns. Also they do pacific theatre which is a specific interest of mine.
Love this set!! and it is at a starter level price 😀
Will be picking up two of these to make a German armoured grenadier army to fight my British Paratroopers. I was a bit disappointed to not get a British force in their if I am honest, so hopefully swapping them for more of the Germans, as I love the looks of the StugG.
IF you fancy giving 15mm WWII a go. Then this is the best place to start IMO. A lot of thought has gone into this box set. Not only a nice selection of forces (quite well balanced ,) but the inclusion of the force reference sheets and the starter guide .Make this an ‘easy in ‘for new players. And the price makes it very good value for money … I shall probably buy one for my sons.As I might have to ‘help them’ with it.(Can we have a go now Dad ?lol) The MAIN reason the rule book has over… Read more »
I am so buying this. Great price.
Fantastic … though I have to say it’s about time 🙂
This makes FoW more much more accessible for a casual player
This seems like really nice box althought I am not fan of StugGs.
