Personally I go for the soul train.
Thomas the Armored Train 🙂
Darrell…
Nevermind. Thanks for doing the video. Personally, I like the command car (those are radio antenna BTW), but all of it looks cool. For the price, though, it’s not worth it.
Or, could be an infantry car instead of command, haven’t seen any rules for it.
A great idea for ww1, speed of ww2 did make these look a bit less useful.
Must have been a popular idea as Germany made a huge railway gun remember…reload that vid boys (Warren and John + dora??)
good ol wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_train
includes a piccie of polish train, also comments that some used in the 1990’s!!
I liked the bit there that CCCP had armoured trains with ICBMs.
And they were not meant to be tactically mobile but rather strategically mobile.
Got to agree with ironmonger.
It is a very nice model for a very strange piece of history but the price tag is way too high.
There are companies out there who make such pieces for model railway collectors, I had a quick search and a 1/76th scale (pretty close to 28mm) armoured train can be bought for the same price being charged for this 15mm one.
And I came across a nice wee site with extra information on the trains and some pictures showing examples of how they were painted.
