October 22, 2010 by dignity
Andy opens a blister containing the Hordes frog-like Croak Hunter; let's see what he has to say about this poisonous froggy fiend!
... and will it be anything good, after having to stay up to 2:30am, trying to stick it together!

do you guy’s at BOW use epoxy resin? It is slow setting which can be annoying but with a peg or two it sets really strong
We use fillaglue almost exclusively on metal models, works well in conjunction with the conditioning products they have 🙂
Do you guy’s at BOW use epoxy resin? I found super glue was rubbish on all accounts for metal modles, however, epoxy resin is a slow setter
Clean your parts properly….not just washing them, you need to lightly file the contact areas so the metal is shiny. Scoring larger contact surfaces also gives more surface area for the glue to bite on. And lastly, don’t be a stooge and by the cheap and nasty super glue from the super market. If you use a decent Cyanoacylate it will work perfectly. I use either Zap-A-Gap CA+ or Loctite 405.
nice tips @blitzr
That thing was a pain in the arse to get to stick. Even I moved from my habitual place with all the army books in the office to have a go. It was sneaky too. Just as I was celebrating it sticking the damn arm falls off again!!! Don’t know how you managed to do it Andy while resisting the urge to smack it around with a hammer!
ok ok calm…calm
I like the look of these but wish they were plastics
