Darrell has a look at the plastic British Commandos boxed set from Warlord Games... will he be able to remember the names of all the guns?

its fair to say one of the most important shoots of ww2 was from a piat. At Pegasus bridge once the paras had secured the bridge 2 German tanks came to reclame the bridge a para fired his piat destroying the first tank making the Germans think a larger force was holding the bridge so a large section of the German forces were sent to the bridge so they couldn’t defend the beaches from the invading infantry
They’re really nice models when you get to see them close up. again though, I think their are arms that fit better with certain guns than others (eg I think bayonet bill’s arms are meant for the Brens, or tommy guns), and no you wouldn’t want the piat, it weighed as much as a fully loaded machinegun, making it ready to fire is an extremely convoluted process, and even after you get it to fire the shells had about a 1 in 4 chance of a dodgy fuse that meant the bomb either never went bang or bounced off the… Read more »
Looks awesome! Could you guys do a WW2 figure comparrison? Especially the 28mm Plastic Soldier Company stuff with Valient miniatures, i want to know if they match!

Those are rather nice.
I wonder if bitz from these would compliment Imperial Guards from 40k if I wanted a Brit Commando theme for a platoon 🙂 I’m a nut for conversions & ideas. The detail is awesome on these. Brilliant models.
Nice to see them. lovely models
Nice set of options- great for conversions etc with some nice bits for the more sci fi based peeps to borrow for figs.
I think in the Bridge to Far youll find most folks had a red beret making them Paras not the green adorned Commandos.
