It says on the box you don’t need to undercoat but based experience in painting them up I would recommend it
I think I’d undercoat everything – even if the box said you didn’t have to heh

Just to slightly amend the comments on the Pacto v Maximus version of MeG
The usual Pacto force is 20-30 bases the Maximus is 70-100 bases so the box is around a third of what you need for a full Maximus army so three Pacto boxes.
