Warren's takes a look at one of the most impressive miniatures the Dystopian Wars game has to offer... the Prussian Empire's monstrous... Metzger Robot!
Not seeing any close-cam footage …..
forget to turn close-cam on did we warren?
Couple of weapon mods and it’ll make a nice Pre Heresy Dreadnought 🙂
Love the fact that Spartan have made a submerged version and at a good price point £13/14 quid for the full mini and £9 ish for two submerged is vfm!
One of the guys on Youtube demoed a repose of a Forge World marine by heating the leg and bending the knee joint – be worth a try on Spartans resin before taking a hack saw to it – I’ll try and find the vid …
The problem with the heating and bending here is that the plastic resins tend to have a marked memory effect that the more usual resin types dont, meaning when you heat and bend something, even after its cooled, it tends to want to warp back to its previous state. Thats one of the big issues with finecast stuff coming with bent weapons, they often warp back after you straighten them. Oh dear warren, bring the Darrell back. Your lack of close cam and black wash skills is no match! 🙂 Maybe you were a bit TOO excite by this model.
with some other arms, this thing could make a very cheap dreadknight I suppose.
Awesome looking giant robot.
Finaly Metzger Robot has come to BoW!
I was not expecting it to be so nice or so easy to put together. I was expecting a dozen pieces to need cleaned up and put together.
I’m not totally sure if I’m going to play Dystopian Wars but the Metzger will be mine oh yes. Perfect for weird war/pulp scifi in 28mm or even 54mm!
The temptation to cut some of the joints like the knees, hips or waist and do something special is huge … but I would be so worried about messing up such a gorgeous model.
