Quite big looking guys. Is their scale slightly larger than 40k or is it that they are in a style of power armour?
Also to be honest I am more of a fan of models coming in multible parts. I enjoy spending the time putting them together and if you are any good it doesn’t take that long. 🙂
I feel they tend to be more effective in Dust Warfare than Dust Tactics, but that could be because i play warfare more, mind you Its surprising how often you end up needing that rocket punch, especially on terrain heavy boards.
@redshane yeah they are in a larger scale than 40k. compared to a marine in power armour the bog standard infantry man is probably a good 3-4mm (est) taller and the red devils a good 8-10mm (est). dont play 40k anymore so i didnt have a termy handy to compare
Overall they look nice, but honestly, for me the fact that they are pre-assembled / pre-basecoated is a feel let down. I like building and painting my toy soldiers =P. Also, the fact that all have the same face…..creepy.
The models for Dust aren’t as much of a draw in terms of pure ‘hobby-goodness’ as GW and other manufacturers, but they are nicely made and can still be shown some TLC with a brush. Definitely a good second game for those with clogged-up paint stations.
Im getting on a bit bit now, eyesight not as good as it used to be so any game that does some of the work for me already has my vote. Im also an ex gw gameplayer and remember Andy Chambers (the author of DUST warfare) from his days at GW, so that was another tick in the DUST box. The game itself is very good too, with a few mechanics “adapted” from other games, and i would highly reccomend trying the game if you get the chance (for the games sake rather than the hobby side, although i have… Read more »
