Today we get an in depth look at the new British book for Flames of War.
Chris from Battlefront Miniatures is in the studio to chat to John about the new British book. Adding loads of new formations this book builds upon previous British releases. Chris and John also talk about the tactics that a player might look to employ on the tabletop with these new formations and units.
What are you most excited to get your hands on in this British release?
Hoping I’ll get a good idea of what my Canadian options are, I know there are a couple of command cards but not sure what else is available.

Can’t wait to dig into my book when it arrives, made the mistake of ordering some new tokens when I preordered so I’ve had to wait an extra week.

The “reluctance” of the 8th Army during the D-Day campaign is well documented (after all they nearly had a mutiny on the troop ships when they found out they were going to Italy rather than the promised mainland Britain). That’s all well and good….. But it amazes me (as a lot of rules tend to be “German Centric”) that this very same reluctance isn’t applied to veterans in nearly all armies (including Germany). Granted the SS did tend to fight to the last man (as they knew they would get short shrift if they surrendered), but other German veteran units… Read more »
What are you most excited to get your hands on in this British release? The BOOK man the sodding BOOK, then everything else afterwards. I have been waiting for this book for a while, and now its here itll be getting read to death, but first i have to get a copy. one of the things that has surprised me is the Churchill tank, i was never a fan of it when i was growing up and there fore ignored it.
