Very nice.
I wish I could get this model. It’s just plan awsome.
Just before you mentioned painting before glueing it together I was thinking you were very likely going to get sworn at in French quite soon for doing that. 😀
The level of detail on this thing means you can probably get away with a very rough wash and highlight job as long as you pick out the obvious parts like teeth and bindings cleanly, and the size of it means it pretty much shades itself with natural shadows.
Great model. It’s sort of a shame that you can’t get this as its OUT OF STOCK on the web site. Lets hope they restock soon. None of this limited cast junk that is happening to often with some models. 😉
Beautifully detailed and properly fearsome. The only criticism I can possibly level at this is what seems to me to be a disproportionately small body compared to the heads/necks. More is made of how food enters than how it’s processed…it does still work well though, since it emphasises the business end of the beast, and it’s not like someone attacking that thing is going to be concentrating on trying to hit the body with that many toothy heads in the way. Also this thing epitomises Chaos better than some of GW’s own models, since it has a mouth in its… Read more »
I’m wondering if we will see some Mid-nor figures. They Hydra is their symbol! A few of the other things that game out were also for Mid-nor. Mid-nor was totally left out the last edition of Confrontation which kept me from playing it. I wasn’t about to buy another army when I already had some great stuff.
I really like the Mid nor, Griffin, Sessairs and Wolfen range. This is a pretty fine peice of kit. Makes sense as a titan in c4 not so sure about it in c3. Shame its oop and was expensive when you could buy it…looks like fleecebay is extra fleecy as well
This would be a nice add on to my Cryx. Don’t really know where to proxy it but it does fit.
A Cowboy Job? Seems like a mutant Hydra – all the tentacles and such… If it has all those heads with mouths, why does it need a stomach mouth? I agree with thc303 – the necks seem too thick. Makes it look like a wormy Hydra rather than a lizardy / dragon Hydra. One persons ‘Idiot proof’ layout is another persons nightmare design, in particular if they want to put it together in a layout other than the ‘idiot proof’ standard. In this case you would need to do a massive amount of filling and filing in order to do… Read more »
