I understand that promotion of products sold by Wayland is part of the reason for these videos but that doesn’t mean they have to done like teleshopping ads. Tell me what the mini is like to assemble, what the material is like to work with, potential issues to watch out for. This is information I can use. Either that or tell me to call now and I’ll receive three free gifts and have done with it.
I think your being a little unfair there mate. They tell you the material is hard plastic (basically what GW use as i understand it) and that it’ll take a while to assemble. And if they weren’t excited I wouldn’t be interested frankly.
Agree that it’s a great thing that the arms clip off I’m a bit pants at the whole magnetizing thing and the arms look nice..

I probably am being a little unfair but I do think these “What’s in the box” videos don’t quite have the balance right between promotional and educational. You only need to compare them to Darrell’s unboxings to see the difference.
I have to admit. Since they teamed up with Tabletop Nation the productions have gone far to commercialised for my taste.
As time passes, the essence of what made BoW great is slowly disapearing.
I got one of these off the Kickstarter and I couldn’t be more happy, a awesome model. I can’t wait to see what Dreamforge has in the pipeline for the future.
Hope to see the finished model sooner than later. The hight beside other models would be cool.
Just to step up to the plate, I got this bad boy off of the kickstarter, and literally opened it 5 mins before the show, so apologies about lack of construction tips… It’s going to take me a while to get that put together.. It’s pretty hefty… Sadly there’s no rules for this at the mo, but it can proxy nicely for a number of other systems.. I didn’t know wayland were getting their stock of this model so soon… With the kickstarter I thought I’d have a bit more of a head start! I reckon I had 4 -6… Read more »

I’m quite happy to let anyone proxy and this as you say would be a suitable stand in for quite a few systems. So I hope to see these bad boys coming to a table near me soon.

I’d seen pics of the model, but I had no idea of the size of the thing , I thought it was dreadknight sized, which is why I was shocked when i saw the price of it, now I can see why its that much and its probably a bit of a bargain really.
If I ever get back to playing apocalypse sized games, I wouldnt think twice about getting one, perfect titan there. pretty epic painting project as well.

personally i really enjoy whats in the box. i think its important to remember these are instructional video’s but unboxing’s. If the guys at BOW had to sit and go through every pro and con of a kit i think we would have less frequent content something i don’t want to see. i think a nice 20-30 minute video is perfect. personally iv never found a kit that is too hard to build regardless of the material. but i find these videos helpful to see what your getting for your money.
Darrell’s unboxing videos don’t last that long and include sticking the miniatures together. I’m not asking for a blow-by-blow breakdown of everything involved in assembling it. Just a better balance between promotion and education.
Part of me is kind of glad I missed this kickstarter.
Between that crusader and the heavy shock-troopers, I would have spent a fortune in one go
