Bolt Action Unboxing: Hungarian Honved Division Section (Winter)
May 20, 2019 by dignity
Justin and Gerry take a look at the winter variant of the Hungarian infantry division for use in the new Fortress Budapest theatre book for Bolt Action from Warlord Games.
This comes with a set of ten single-piece 28mm metal miniatures and their bases; and as the winter variant of the division everyone has come dressed in their cosiest head scarves and thick coats.
Have you been playing out The Siege of Budapest?
Whatever you think of Warlord, they always have great artwork on their products. Those look to be really lovely casts as well, which is not always the case with them.
like seeing winter gear just a hassle to do a good winter table set up
depends what you play I suppose. My late war are eastern front and I’m going for winter, so all my terrain is the same. early/mid is desert and never the twain shall meet 🙂
These look cool.
Very nice sculpts.
A change from the normal Germans.
I have a flames of war Hungarian army. It just can’t hit hard enough, I will possibly pick up the book but I will be slow to get enlisted.
Based on the Danes that were in town for Euro 96, take standard Germans and glue horns to their helmets.
I like these Hungarians They’re a candidate for a second Bolt Action army.
nice figures.
Nice to see Warlord releasing more stuff for the minor factions!
some nice sculpts amongst those. They really need to do more on the Pacific theatre of war.
Nice to see a smaller faction being represented on the board. I like the mix of German and Hungarian gear.
I don’t use warlord figures for Bolt action I use them with Chain of Command, these look great will have to have them. Nice to have something different.
Good to see some of the troops not from the main protagonist countries! Always interesting to look into the less well known parts of WW2. Great looking models as well but winter kits always look good.
They doo look quite cool, and quite dynamic for single piece wwii minis too
