The Focke-Wulf FW 190 Würger was regarded as one of the best fighter planes of World War II. It was superior in firepower to the Bf 109 and a cut above the RAF's Spitfire Mk. V in all respects bar turn radius.
Will you take the Dienstpferd of the Luftwaffe into the Blood Red Skies?

nicknamed the Butcher Bird for a reason. Awesome plane, it was one of my first 1/72 and 1/48 kits ( Matchbox and Revell Monogram respectively – later the 1/72 Airfix …again, a truly amazing plane ). For the plane itself, the A variant was the first, the D variant, especially the D9 was known as the Long Nose, a really superior plane to the A variant.

Was John getting a sinking feeling when getting ready the morning this was shot…

a great wee model of a brilliant plane.
Good thing i decided to watch this, i always thaught these planes needed assembly! Now, i’m thinking this could be a good pick-up game… I’ll have to watch a play-through.
Thanks guys!
@duster the only assembly required is to stick the planes on the flight stands. Otherwise you can play straight out of the box. It’s a lot of fun and easy to pick up and play.
Thanks @CommodoreRob , i think i will!
Lovely planes and really loving the new hard plastic versions of the planes. There are more planes on the way this year…so much to look forward to 🙂
Well that was definitely an unboxing to keep Warren away from!
The Germans had a lot of good kit, its just that one of their big problems was that they thought it was going to be a short war and didn’t have the infrastructure to support a long running war. Including just maintaining their vehicles like aircraft.
Neat looking models which is getting me really tempted to try and pick some up at Adepticon.
