Darrell gets out the new Furioso Dreadnought kit for the Blood Angels and delivers his hallowed verdict. See if you can spot the subtle mistake he made.

I bet he wouldn’t make any mistakes if these were space wolves…
You will never see a dreadnought in my space wolves army. Bjorn has to be the most useless thing in the whole space wolves book
The model that GW are trying to sell as Bjorn is a ten year old metal venerable dreadnought. I don’t do metal models
mind you i think it was the best dreadnought back then mines just lays it an old box in my loft atm
that is ture also a librarain dreadnought that can move like jump infanty of always a laugh
Darrell, I’m guessing the Grappler didnt fit on top as it was the Librarian front you put on.
Got to love the blood talons though 🙂
I’d assemble the Force weapon arm pronto Darrell, Wings of Sandy Guinness and might of heroes combined gives you a Dreadnought with a jump pack and 2+D3 attacks instead of 3.
Will there sometimes be a Dreadnought kit for the Space Wolves?
For Björn the Fell-Handed.
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440279a&prodId=prod1070016a well theve released this again for bjorn but its at least 10 years old
@bigneily
Thank you!
I know and have the old model. But I am hopping for a new one more brutal an unique Dreadnought for the Wolves.
You ask me that is why Darrell didn’t glue the blood talons on… he’s going to appropriate them from the studio so he can go make his own Bjorn…
I just looked at the price of your two sprues. AHAHAHAHAHAHA GW needs to die out already. Sure it’s a nice sculp but it’s not exactly different from the metal ones of fifteen years ago.
I’m not a great fan of GW products as I don’t play either of their big games, but I had a look at the sprues before Darrell got creative with them and the it’s a really well laid out kit. It comes with multiple “hands” to enable you to build the different weapons. You saw in the video, how easy they are to attach and change… this kit was designed with magnetisation in mind… I’d lay money on it! The front plates… can be swapped with relative ease and the frag cannon can be swapped as you would do it… Read more »
love it but i don’t like blood angels need it for other space marines.
nids taste like shrimp and lobster.
let’s see it in action. throw 30 boyz against it and show us this rule. there’s a nid, or a necron that has a similar rule, right?
even my kroot won’t eat nids.
the size of that librarian’s power… (halberd?) weapon is pretty awesome.
necron lords can take a lightning field which means that for every wound caused by the opponent they take a strength 3 hit, I’m guessing this is what you’re comparing it to 🙂
Frag Cannon and a Blood Fist with a Heavy Flamer is a really good combo, you can shoot the snot out of a horde and smash tanks in close combat…
Just to clarify, the Frag Cannon is str 6, AP – , Rending, Assault 2 Template.
So that means it puts 2 templates down so can spam kill a horde unit without needing to engage it in combat…
For me I agree the blood talons are the best option, though some of the librarian dreadnought powers are good. Be interesting to see how people think they are best delivered into combat though, pod or stormraven?
As far as I know you only get the extra wounds part of the rule if you have two blood talons equipped, so as soon as one is destroyed that part of the rule is lost. Also, they follow the rules of lightning claws so you get to re roll failed rolls to wound, before your extra attacks for unsaved wounds.
Guys I did make a mistake putting the wrong body on the Dreadnought. Yes believe it I have admitted making a mistake. I got over excited about Blood talons and didn’t care what the body looked like as long as the dreadnought was vicious in combat.
Darrel i’m you made the so called “mistake”. Im so tired of everyone trying to make their models look like the ones on the box. A little originality can’t hurt!
The Lib plate and DC leg piece ain’t bad of a look…
The “ammo belt” is for the Frag Cannon.
I can see SW players buy this kit for the talons, and DA players for the “wing” plate.
“Freddy the Furioso!”
Darrel, this kit alone justifies playing Death Company so you can drop a DC Dread with Blood Talons in a Stornraven. Thanks for the review, I always enjoy your videos.
You also did what I did by the look of it, Darrell.
The Dread’s left hand is a blood fist hub and the right is a blood talon one, the talons have 3 closer together and one opposite and the fist are evenly spaced.
I have done the exact same thing because I was in a rush to get it put together xD
I like it!
The subtle mistake is that he called it a fang cannon instead of a frag cannon!
What does the Fang Cannon actually do? is it a weak Heavy Bolter or something?
Template S6 AP- Assault 2, Rending.
Tried it the other day and worked remarkably well when coming in with a droppod, got both a chimera and a bunch of guards in the first shot. Though, only manage two rending out of 14 dice, however.. it’s great against things with high saves.
wow the rule sounds as if it was copied from old one eye, and if it is it doenst confer for any other wounds after the second set, but i dont see the point of using this, i mean like i could pop up a trygon with ferious charge and the thing is gone fist turn and if its not all its wepons will be destroyed and it will be immoblized
The blood talons are lightning claws (so they are only S6), so they get re-roll to wound and as long as you still have the pair intact then you’ll even get extra attacks for every wound you make. The thing with blood talons though is that it won’t stop after the first set of attacks, so it can just keep on getting those attacks until it fails to hit/wound or the opponent saves. What makes it not over-powered is its low number of attacks (3 with both weapons intact, 4 on charge) and low initiative. Or if you go with… Read more »
Freddie scissor hands!
I used one of these Furioso Dreads in a game vs Nids. He munched a gaunt squad then a carnifex and then 11 of 20 genestealers before he died. MVP!
you put a librarian sarcophagus on a death company dreadnaut?
