Good wee video, it is a fantastic model. Probably one of the best kits GW.
At £35 it’s probably a bit steep to use parts of it as a base for a lot of conversion work but with a decent online discount it can come in at under £30 and if you are only doing a wee bit of converting/adding to it I don’t think that’s too unreasonable.
If there was one thing this video was particularly lacking it would be…more WW2 history lessons.
If converted properly this kit can have lots of uses. Been eying this bad boy for a Dark Elf Manticore myself.
One small word of caution, however. I’ve heard that New Line Cinema really doesn’t want it’s LOTR IP used in other game systems. We all know that the “fair use” clause in copyright law should allow us to use these models however we see fit…but if there happens to be some sticklers at “official” GW tourneys, you could be barred from using LOTR models.
I love it. I’d really, really like to use this as a bloodthirster as opposed to the metal models (which are lovely, but a swine to keep together.
Judging by the quality of this kit, I don’t suppose there’s any possiblilty of some plastic greater daemons is there?
gotta be one of the best daemon models of all time there have been loads of releases of this in the past and they just get better every time 🙂
