Think he means Raider. 😀
Apart from that a pretty good vid to watch.
He’s right, you can’t assault out of a Ravager. Because a Ravager hasn’t got a transport capacity 😛
Man, what is it with people trying to “cheese” as Darrel put it???
The vehicle deep strikes.
You can’t assault after deep striking.
Where’s the question??
Isnt it written in the big red book units in a vehicle that deep strikes cannot assualt due to the strain from deep striking or something along those lines?
it cannot be done unfort. but there is always lesser daemons for that mwah ha ha
@Darrel if your playing the planet strike expansion, and you have entered play via deep strike AND would be allowed to deep strike this way in a normal game, then you can assault out of any vehicle.
eg/
1) drop pods can deep strike normally, therefore in planetstrike, the squad that uses it can assault on the turn it deep strikes.
2) skimmers can deep strike in planetstrike, but if the (transport) skimmer can’t normally deep strike (like a tau devilfish) the squad inside can’t assault.
hope this helps!
what do people think of that facet of planetstrike anyway? have always wondered what people thought of it and the balancing issues around it
i love it, its really fun and gives a more vertical method of gameplay
Yes and I think it would be silly if the attacker had to just stand around whilst shot at…in 40k universe assault units would get right into the enemy as soon as they’re down it seems a bit unrealistic if they have to wait. Of course there is balancing issues but on the whole planet strike seems pretty balanced to me: defender gets to place cover etc.
Things to never ever say on the internet “I don’t think anyone’s going to complain about this” 😛
Red rag to a bull…
Dante just got a whole lot better in planet strike then!
Yes you can not assault! Its in the new FAQs. If a vehicle deepstrikes the passengers also count as deepstriking.
Read the codex! If you use retrofire thrusters you are not allowed to disembark in the same turn. Once you read the rules this question is moot.
Unless they deepstrike via Duke Sliscuses rule!
