Waterloo - Quelle Affaire Kickstarter
The game is currently running on Kickstarter and Alessio has rather cunningly left it so that the campaign ends smack bang on the anniversary of the battle!
Find out more about the game, how it plays, where Alessio sees it going and more by watching the video above.

This is one of those kickstarter projects that I hope goes as far as it can. Waterloo is a real fav topic of mine and opportunities to have a world class game are few and far between. If enough enthusiasts back this we could have a real feast of beautiful components with gorgeous art everywhere. TBH the miniatures in this instance interest me less than the possibility of more and varied art. After playing it I reckon this is one for any fan of Waterloo and is like a grown ups version of risk in many respects Kudos to Alessio… Read more »
hmpf, with the bootcamp coming up I don’t think i can afford to support this one….its not really expansive, hmmmm!
I need to think about it I love board games like Risk or Akis&Allies, and he Napoleonic area is a period I was always very interested in especially waterloo!
Hmmm…..I have to do some book keeping maybe I can squeeze it in this month. 😀
I have been waiting for this since I saw it reviewed on here. I’m in.
So what makes it different to the countless other hex based Waterloo games?
You maybe better placed to answer that, there are a set of how to play videos on the KS page did you get a chance to look them over?
If I had to make a guess I think the card mechanic in this game ‘might’ be something that sets it apart, along side the ‘chicken’ type feel of the game (who flinches first!)
“how to play videos on the KS page”
Ok, that’s what I was missing from your video. On my way.
If you remember, cardboard and hexes are my idea of wargaming. So far I’m not convinced by the high level of this game (no stacking) but let’s have a look at the KS videos.
Back soon 😎
I’ve just been through the KS vids and I think what’s missing is a full couple of turns. I don’t yet consider I have an idea of the “feel” of this game. Of course the KS has a while to go and these are the early days and it is Alessio but for now I’m keeping my powder dry and deploying my observers.
Ah, good old hex and counters.
I remember having the FFG’s Waterloo game, some really nice figures of the French and British. If I remember they game won some awards and they said they would bring expansions out for it including other regiments but they suddenly just just stopped making a really good game.
It looks promising.
I joined it for now. Curious to see if it’ll get far.
Looks great. I’m all signed up and can’t wait!
