Happy summer Sunday!!
That Sunday feeling when you know you have a fresh XLBS to watch!
For Team Yankee it would be cool to bring in some small NATO forces, Belgium, france… How about Iceland!
What i’m looking forward to in Team Yankee is a British Faction, Harrier support is a must. Low Flying Tornado GR1’s would also be cool.
Harriers! Yes please! Still my favourite “modern” aeroplane.
@dignity warmachine stater looking good mate. How about a Hordes faction, Circle maybe – gambling apart 😉
na i likes my steam powered death machines 😉
@warzon how about using FB the week BoW is down?
@warzan
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday.
How about seeing the cold war turned hot go colder, and taken to Scandinavia, tanks bursting through snow drifts, mountain troops on skis. So much chilly hobby goodness.
Team Yankee British, oh yes – is it Christmas yet, lol
Happy Sunday !!!!!!
Holy intro’s Batman.
things i want to see for Team Yankee lest see i will like to see what can be put in a French army they have some ugly looking tanks , but then they have the Pluton.. that may be the dooms day tank
For Team Yankee it has to be British, British and more British. As an ex tank commander I’d love to roll Chieftains and Challengers across Europe. Also a Berlin force in their urban colours would look amazing on the table top!
I second and third that mate…. Oh yes! 🙂
Happy Sunday!
That’s a nice looking Chieftain kit. I’m holding out for the BAOR so I’ll probably pass on the W Germans and round off my Soviet force until the BAOR are released later this year.
For those interested in seeing what ‘wargaming life’ was like before GW, then look for material published by Donald Featherstone, Bruce Quarrie, Terrence Wise, Charles Grant, Arthur Taylor, Gavin and Bernard Lyall and Bruce Rea-Taylor. These were the greats of their day, whom, quite likely the likes of Phil Yates and Rick Priestley drew inspiration from to create their own ‘flavours’ of wargame! Happy Sunday, Enjoy!
Happy Sunday to all!
It’s time for some Weekender! Yeah, give me some! ^_^
XLBS makes me as happy as a dung beetle following a herd of mammoths.
Good God I remember playing and being active with Warhammer Panzer Battles and I still think I have the files somewhere too.
What I would love to see next for Team Yankee is the French, the AMX13 is such a groovy looking tank thats so SciFi and also the Chinese too
While I’m rooting for East Germans, the Frenchies should be good fun too!!!!!!
Happy Sunday!
As a G.O.G (Grumpy Older Gamer), I completely agree about the difficulty of getting into gaming during the late 70’s and early 80’s. Even in the UK waiting for a month or 2 for an order to arrive was common place! Choice was limited by the few manufacturers out there, but prices were, or seemed more reasonable, my first complete historical army cost £24.95 for 150 figures! I am glad that things have become much easier since then though, although my wallet doesn’t! 🙂
For Team Yankee I’d like to see East Germans at some stage.
And later on -dare I say it- the French. Then we’d have all the main combattants for a WW3 scenario in Germany.
Problem with the Warzaw Pact nations is that they all used similar Soviet kit but even smaller releases like country specific infantry or the release of older Soviet stuff could keep this game very interesting for a long time to come 😎

Am I missing something? Tried to edit my original post but couldn’t find any way to edit it, so deleted it from my profile, but its still here?
XLBS Weekender! Hello Team WJB. 🙂 That Infinity trailer for Operation Red Veil has got me so excited about the upcominf Infinity week. Moments like these make me love being a member of this great Beasts of War community. The Yu Jing and Haqqislam miniatures are just..just…words can not describe how awesome! 😀 Great to see Ben has hobbied hard on his Silver Tower minis, they are going to look great on the table. I need to get my own tabletop minis painted – looking at you Zombicide Black Plague… Lloyd is the Dust King. I like the concept of… Read more »
For Team Yankee, we need Norwegians! The border between the Soviet Union and Norway was a hotspot during the Cold War. And we would get snow scenery too. And probably US Marines, come to think of it.
And Sweden as well
Future Team Yankee? Brits, Brits, Brits, Brits, Brits, Brits, Brits, Brits, &c.
Away from Brits, other theatres.
Made this comment before Phil said the British are coming. So other theatres, then. Middle East, Afghanistan, Arctic combat?
Happy Sunday!
I doubt it, but will anyone ask Phil Yates about why Battlefront – maybe it’s the UK – have such poor customer service?
Great name check for Norman Featherstone. We all owe a lot to the guy, a genuine godfather of modern day wargaming.
Airfix and early rules – while a child living on bases in W Germany in the 70s wih the soundtrack of Lightnings, Phantoms and Harriers… flashback.
That’s what I’d like to see btw in Team Yankee – Lightnings, Phantoms and Harriers and some complementary rules for air-air, air-ground and ground-air!
Unrelated to Team Yankee: Justin’s filthy swans look superb. I know you said they’re WIP but the caster is already beyond tabletop, the Jacks not so far behind. Nice work, man!
thanks dude its really that i need to give the lot a good clean up and pick ut some extra details on the jacks 🙂
Certainly makes me look in shame at the horde of Cygnar that’s been sat unpainted on my painting table for a couple of years now….
