First Warlock-Led Battlegroup Previewed For Warmachine!

Privateer Press have fired up pre-orders for their first Warlock-led Battlegroup coming to the 35mm Fantasy world of Warmachine. The Trollbloods (yay!) are on the way as the Southern Kriels Brineblood Marauders find themselves fighting at the shoreside in Immoren.

The preview Battlegroup for the Southern Kriels Brineblood Marauders is now available for you to pick up and will be released later this year in 2023. Leading the way for this band of awesome Trollbloods, we have Admiral Boomhowler who looks like an absolutely awesome swashbuckler.

With the Orgoth Sea Raiders coming out of the brine, it makes sense that we'd get something nautical coming out for Warmachine. It also seems like a great way to get a classic miniatures line out Trollbloods) but with a different spin to them.

Boomhowler is then backed up by some fearsome allies in the form of the Reef Troll and the Deepborn Dire Troll.

The Reef Troll comes with three different head options and six arm/weapon options for you to choose from alongside three accessories. Much like with their previous kits, this comes 3D Printed and features magnetisation holes (and magnets) so you can swap out the bitz for your burly allies as and when you need to.

The Deepborn Dire Troll is similarly festooned with options including three heads, six arm/weapon combinations and three back fins so you can customise your miniatures. Get flinging sea creatures at your enemies!

I think these look absolutely cracking and it's good to see that we're seeing the Warlocks coming to the fore as well for the world of Warmachine. We've tinkered around with some of the preview kits for the new edition of Warmachine and they really are well-detailed and fun to work with. It will be interesting to see how these Trollbloods play on the tabletop as well, especially with a Warlock at their head. Rules should be available as part of the free Warmachine App if you're interested!
