See Before You The Unshakable Faith Of Warmachine’s Anson Durst

Warmachine isn't going to be left out when it comes to new models. Anson Durst for the Protectorate of Menoth stomps onto the battlefield thanks to Privateer Press very soon...
"Anson Durst is the rock on which the enemies of the Protectorate break, a bulwark to the faithful who weathers tides of violence to keep blameless Menites safe. He earned his epithet fighting alongside the theocracy’s defenders to repel wave after wave of invading soldiers. Countless times he used his powers and a steel wall of warjacks to prevent harm to his men. Fueled by faith and his devotion to the code of the Order of the Wall, Anson Durst is all but undefeatable when committed to the defense of his people."
Anyone who knows me will know that I think big well armoured paladin-types are amazing. I think the model is brilliant sculpt-wise and he's posed in the way you'd imagine he would be; bracing himself against the enemy before striking out with that deadly looking weapon of his.
The Protectorate really know how to make faith and fire look good don't they!
What do you think of Anson?
"...he's posed in the way you'd imagine he would be; bracing himself against the enemy"
He looks awesome and epic. And I don’t even like Menoth! Last evening in chat I joked that he is called Rock of Faith but he does not have foot on rock pose.
I just don’t know if the legs actually work for this model; they seem to be really far apart from each other.
He’s a big guy with a lot of weight high up on his body. For stability purposes he’d keep his feet further apart otherwise he’d be easy to push over.
I think it is more that this bloke has a four foot wide pelvis. He obviously has larger equipment than first meets the eye.
Completely OTT, gloriously impractical, love it!
he will look better in Khador army, just saying.
As people have said… It’s a very nice model, but I can’t get over those legs… Then again, imagine if they were itty bitty and closer together…
I guess they didn’t want to make lighter armor.
