Privateer Press Showcase Ace New Khador Minis For Warmachine!
August 17, 2022 by brennon
Privateer Press has been showcasing more of the upcoming Warmachine miniatures that will be popping up for the new edition, MKIV. This time around, we got a look at some absolutely stonkingly good Khador miniatures!
Kapitan Ilari Borisyuk // Warmachine
As a powerful Warcaster and Gunmage, Kapitan Ilari Borisyuk joined the Widowmaker Korps after spending years in the wild hunting the many beasts of Immoren. He is now a deadly killer utilising his fearsome rifle, Shadow Of Death.
In-game, he comes with a series of rules that make him handy for sneaking around the battlefield and getting into position. He also has access to three different attack types thanks to his mastering of the rifle. He even has a pretty wild feat called Merciless Wrath which is worth checking out over on Privateer's blog page.
Following Kapitan Ilari Borisyuk into battle are a band of hardened soldiers, the Winter Korps Infantry!
Winter Korps Infantry // Warmachine
A good mix of riflemen are joined by specialist weapons to make a team of soldiers that can take on pretty much any situation. They can introduce autocannons, rocket launchers and fragmentation grenades into their repertoire allowing them to deal with Warjacks and infantry equally well.
I really like the new unit which comes with plenty of different options that represent the various peoples that are drawn from Khador's kingdom. The fellow in the top right who is about to slash someone down with his sword is my favourite!

Are you tempted to dive in and pick up Khador as your force of choice? They certainly have some of the coolest miniatures at the moment!
Let us know your thoughts below...
"As a powerful Warcaster and Gunmage, Kapitan Ilari Borisyuk joined the Widowmaker Korps after spending years in the wild hunting the many beasts of Immoren..."
The Winter Korps Infantry looks good, but the rifle on the Kaptain looks far too modern for a steampunk world, at least to me. I have so much Khador at the moment I’m unlikley to buy into the new version.
Agree. It’s jarring when some of the army are using blunderbusses.
Great video an the Gerry Clan is brilliant looking? I mean winter Korps troops.
It’s interesting how PP has gone with the World Of Warcraft style chunky sculpts with their new 3D-printed range, at a time when many minis manufacturers are going the other way. Example: Look at how Wizkids sculpts their stuff now, it’s all elongated, slender bodies that are deliberately more in proportion to actual humans. Now look at the chunky, bulbous quality of these Khador releases (huge shoulder pads, big wrist/ankle cuffs, chunky clog shoes, fat toylike guns.)
While otherwise nice looking Kapitan’s sniper rifle is very much 40k style weapon. Those Winter Guard are really good looking.
I like earlier editions of PP stuff, but if is the new style… definitely not interested.
They have turned their back on the Fantasy with some steampunk theme that made them popular when I played.
Personally I’m just hoping that the trenchers get a little bit more of an update.
I really like the new style. Reminds me of BattleTech rather than 40k, where technology doesn’t advance and why new models are just assumed to have always been there.
Mk4 takes place 20 years after the intro of the DnD RPG and 25 years after Oblivion in MK3 and the advancement in society and technology shows.
New Prime timeline in Warmachine and Clan Ill era in BattleTech. Things are shaking up and I like it.
40k is for cucks, shills, and wannabe middle age cool “girls” who never got over missing prom.
