New Warmachine Khador Clad Themselves In Hefty Man-O-War Armour
June 6, 2018 by brennon
Privateer Press has a range of new releases coming out throughout June. You'll be able to get your hands on the new themed Khador Man-O-War models on the 15th June and 22nd of June respectively as the various new models appear online and in stores.
It makes sense surely to begin with the iron lady of Khador, Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff. She is now back and clad in Man-O-War armour so she can get stuck into the action. She still carries her trademark hammer but with some added ranged options too.
We're sticking with characters for the moment too as we look towards this hulking warrior, Sergeant Dragos Dragadovich.
I mistook this fellow for The Butcher, much to the consternation of many people on social media apparently. However, this chap looks tough as nails and I love that they've given him armour and weapons to match his personality. The battle-scarred armour and beaten up weapons mirror a man who has clearly seen much of war.
You can also learn from commanders whatever their age when it comes to war and Khador has been battling for a long time. Here is Kommandant Atanas Arconovich & Standard.
Once again, it's nice to see the look of the Man-O-War troopers continuing over but here you see some added pomp and ceremony to their designs. I love the gilding work around the models although I still don't think that they're going to convince me that Warmachine and Hordes shouldn't be just Monsters and Warjacks smashing each other to pieces.
Lastly, for the characters in this release, we have the Man-O-War Bombardier Officer who will work as an attachment to your force and keep your fighting spirits high.
I think this fellow could do with some more character. Yes, he is issuing orders and pointing at his next target but you should go to town on the armour. If he's an officer, then he will have fought through many battles and you need to show that on his battered suit!
Hold The Line
Big hulking troops are making the armoured wall that is Khador even more implacable as we got some additional troopers to help you out. Namely, we have the Man-O-War Suppression Tanker...
...and the Man-O-War Strike Tanker which gives you various options when it comes to models that can soak up firepower, and then dish it out in equal measure.
I do like these models as Khador was the faction of choice for me from Warmachine. They will also make for an awesome themed force, tying things together into neat tactical bundles for players to pick up. It's good that you're getting bonuses for playing with troops that WOULD have fought together.
What do you think of the new models for June?
always fun to see how Sorscha evolves over the years 🙂 and Dragos looks fantastic 🙂
Sorscha looks good even in Man’o’War armor. Rest of those Man’o’Wars are also great.
Grossly over the top. PP is so far behind GW its embarassing.
i’d say both companies have a stylized look and if your not into OTT then maybe stay away from both miniature ranges.
I love them all !
Are all these minis made of metal ? If yes its big drawback for me.
@yoshi – I believe a mix of metal and resin for most of these
That’s a hell of an update for Khador. Those tankers are fantastic, and Sorscha looks amazing. Lovely paintjob, too.
Fantastic stuff, I think my Khador will be getting some reinforcements. Dragos is probably my pick of the bunch
wow fantastic figures they could make fabulous 30K inquisitor’s or commanders.
They all look so cool and I want them! Probably cost a fortune with all those large metal minis. DROOL!
Poor Sorscha! Cruelly rebuffed by the love of her life and now she has literally withdrawn into her shell. She deserved better, poor lass.
Could be worse mate, she could of ended up poledancing – you know to whom I refer
Since I have been out of loop for some time may I ask whom you are refering to and what happened to that character?
@mecha82 WELL …. far be it from me to deal in sorid gossip and innuendo BUT, as you may have been aware young Sorcha had been ‘sharing tents’ for years with Prince Vladimir Tzepesci while on campaign. (I suppose it gave them something to do after a hardbday of oppressing the Lahlese , butchering innocent trollkin and invading the northern border of peace-loving Cygnar). However the Empress of Khador, realising that she isn’t getting any younger, started to hear her biological clock ticking and decided to get about making an heir and she set her cap for Sorcha’s Prince. Prince… Read more »
heh
I love my new Khador buddies! I of course prefer the plastics but all in good time, oh yes.
I haven’t got into MkIII yet (having to relearn how to play a game I was already happy enough playing as was, is always off-putting to me.) however these models are getting my Khador itch going, and having new tasty models to play with is a definite incentive to make the jump.
@osbad, I really like 3rd, it had a rough start and it’s a bit dead round my area but with the range of theme forces it is probably as good as I remember it and it is not a massive change from 2nd in general mechanics
I love everything a part from tankers.
Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff for the win!
I’ve been playing Warmachine since MkI, with several armies. My Khador army was slightly smaller than my other armies until I found ‘Wargamer Girl’ on YouTube and started to appreciate Khador even more.
The share brute force of Khador is fun for when you just want to bash in the opposing force!
I’ll be adding this latest version of Sorscha to my Khador forces.
