Mennes’ Mini-Mashup: Basing Warmachine’s Creepy Cryx Crows
March 9, 2017 by crew
It's time to get back into the Hobby Lab and join Tomas Mennes in his marvellous world of miniature conversions.
In this episode Tomas looks at the wonderful Cryx Carrion Thralls and decides they need some better looking bases than those clear plastic ones that come in the box.
You can check out Tomas' other wonderful creations at his website Whizz Bang where he goes into detail with images the technique that he used in this video.

Man, cleaning up after this guy… Boxes all over the floors…
I absolutely love his style… fun and ingenious !
Great tip about the green-stuff and your thumb. I will be using that as I’m always losing little bits of green-stuff on my green cutting mat.
Very cool tutorial, looks like a very good time to thinking of all the ways you can have them attack. Great stuff.
I love how these turned out. Would love to see them painted too. Thanks for all the great tips and ideas.
they look fabulous finished
.
I just love his intro… Let’s play with dangerous “stuff”
Awesome tutorial, I love the idea of the blood spurts and the torn off head. I was sitting here thinking “why so many pins….. oh ha I get it” just before the explanation. 🙂
outside the box imaginative, fantastic work.
Great work – you never see this kind of technique (pining, reposing tying it all together with green stuff) in online tutorials.
I think I might dig out that box of old skeletons and see if I can come up with something original.
That was very informative and with cool looking results.
I’ll have to get one of those rubber tipped tools for my green stuff modifications. As it is I’m often leaving fingerprints.
