The Hellslingers Get Ready For A Warmachine Shootout
February 4, 2017 by brennon
A new Hellslingers set is on the way for those Mercenary/Cygnar players looking to spruce things up in Warmachine. The new version of Caine's Hellslingers is pencilled in for a March 8th release date by Privateer Press.
"Caine’s Hellslingers has developed a reputation as one of the toughest and deadliest outfits in western Immoren. Comprised of former Black 13th gun mages Lieutenant Darsey Ryan and Sergeant Samuel Watts as well as the renegade warcaster Allister Caine himself, this trio has gunned down scores of opponents.
Their intelligence, expertise, and lethality make them a force to be reckoned with."
Here we have some rather smart looking gunslingers led by Caine with his rather strong chin!
Will you be picking up this new set?

Looking good 😀 . Watts looks cool with the Magelock rifle.
They look very nice. I’m not a fan of the aesthetics of a lot of the Warmachine range, but these are fantastic. (Each to their own of course, and I’m glad the game is doing well.)
Im not up to date on the story. Why have they left the Cygnaran army and what happened to the other Black 13th pistolier?
I don’t know either, but given how heavily Magnus has featured in the Mercs during mk2, my guess is that Magnus and Vinter (?) Raelthorne have returned to Cygnar and booted Leto off the throne.. and now it is the good guys turn to go ‘rogue’.
Warning Spoilers for Blood of Kings and Mark of Caine: Vinter’s coup fails and ends with his death at Magnus’s hands. Vinter’s son, Julius, through an affair takes the Throne with Leto stepping down to become basically Cygnar’s Prime Minister. During the coup Caine, who was hunting Magnus and Julius, becomes disillusioned with Cygnar’s spymaster and resigns. – Covered in “Blood of Kings” Cygnar’s spymaster, who kept his job because Julius is a pragmatist, has people hunting Caine. Basically Caine knows too much and the spymaster is nervous something may happen. Frustrated with being hunted by Bounty Hunters and Cygnaran… Read more »
Oh cool! I’m not one for gaming fiction but I did read the first few publications from skull island and enjoyed them (especially the one with the Devil Dogs). I might have to pick up a few more and catch up with what’s happening in the Iron Kingdoms!
@mage I believe Lynch croaked in the latest Caine novel from Skull Island Expeditions…
One in middle looks rougher than other two but maybe it’s just because he got four a clock shadow painted.
don’t play the game but great figures.
I’ve had a couple of friends mention Caine3 as being a bit filthy. Something about having Synergy for shooting attacks ?
I have read all of the novels that they have released since 3rd Edition was released and while they are game fiction, they are bloody good reads and good entertainment. The first book in the Caine Trilogy when coupled with the “bridging” stand alone novel explains Caine’s and the Black 13th’s current status as mercenaries rather than Cygnarian forces. As an aside I do like how, Skull Island is being used to advance the story rather than breaking it up and shoving it in rule books as 1) it flows better ans 2) I am fundamentally lazy #$%$ who likes… Read more »
