First Errata Now Live For Privateer’s Warmachine & Hordes
July 19, 2016 by brennon
Privateer Press have released the first Errata for Warmachine & Hordes. While everything has gone smoothly it seems there were a few kinks that needed ironing out. So, Jason Soles and the team set themselves to the task.
As well as dealing with Errata for the main Prime & Primal Rulebooks they have also amended some parts of the Rules Digests and individual Model Cards too.
"In addition to a fairly complex rules set, however, we were also tasked with balancing and evaluating nearly a thousand models, a significant increase even from the transition between Mk I and Mk II. It was inevitable that once we released the game to the community as a whole that our players would see things we had not and would point out interactions we had missed.
There are also a number of places where either we understood the rules to be clear and later saw how they could be read to mean something else, or where the language of the rules changes in editing and were made inconsistent with language elsewhere."
We'd like to know what you think of any changes that have hit your own faction.

Wait a second, I just bought the bloody book. Now i have to have 12 pages stuck in the back… Epic fail PP, epic fail.
You can’t have looked at the errata all that closely if the complaint is purely down to the number of pages. The number of pages is inflated somewhat, because they are having to print errata for multiple rule books. A fair number of the errata are just repeats. For example: the first page and a half, is to do with Warmachine Prime, while the second is to do with Warmachine Prime Digest, and they’re nearly identical in terms of what text needs to be replaced (the location of the rules themselves is pretty much the only difference). The same is… Read more »
Wow! 22 pages! That is immense. I was going to buy the new books (once they got back in stock … distribution fail …) but now I’m not going to bother. I’ll stick with the free pdfs. May wait for a reprint of the cards as well. Hopefully a second printing may sort out the cock-ups.
22 pages, of which only around 5 are just repeats due to the same rules content across 4 books, and the rest is card updates that has already been implemented in War Room.
*13 pages
Where did I get 22 from?
I believe most of the card errata is already implemented in the War Room app. Hopefully the same will happen with the pdfs of the rulebooks.
