Steamforged Games are taking pre-orders for the next faction to get an update for the new edition of Warmachine. Cryx are on the warpath with two new sets for you to choose from which come with Warjacks, Warcasters and more.

Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter // Warmachine

Leading the way is the Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter which comes with enough to get you going with a thirty-point force right out of the box. Leading the way is Wraithbinder Nekane, the Warcaster who can suffer damage in order to cast spells and boost their rolls.

Wraithbinder Nekane is backed up by Hades, the Warjack alongside Master Necrotech Chatterbane who is a Solo. You also get The Furies which is a three-character model unit for stalking across the battlefield.

For those not familiar with Cryx, they have the power to command the dead with necromantic magic. They are led by several Lich Lords who serve Lord Toruk, the Dragonfather.

The second of the sets is the Battlegroup Box which gives you a smaller selection of miniatures to get started with.

This set focused on a twenty-point force that includes a Warcaster and three Warjacks. This is a great starting point for Cryx and can also be used to expand other armies. This set gives you ways to tear apart your opponent's Warjacks and use them to repair your own. The Malefactor Heavy Warjack will also steal souls for your Warcaster!

Discerptor Eviscerus leads the way alongside the aforementioned Malefactor. You've also got two Raptors which help to bulk out the force with their chomping jaws. All of these miniatures are available to pre-order right now ahead of a release at the end of August.

Epic New Characters

A new character has also been released for those collecting Khador plus a character who might once have given their allegiance to Khador but no more.

Kapitan Yana Kovoskiy // Warmachine

Kapitan Yana Kovoskiy leads your force and the Winter Korps from the back of her fearsome bear. She is a cavalry Warcaster who can buff her battlegroup by destroying enemy miniatures herself. Lead by example. She also has a deadly set of spells at her disposal with Battle Lust, Dash and Spirit Fang.

A stunning miniature showcasing a seriously heroic character getting to kick some ass and take names.

Next up, we have the fearsome Orsus The Betrayed who also comes mounted on the back of a deadly beast.

Orsus The Betrayed // Warmachine

Once a proud commander amongst the forces of Khador, he now fights as Orsus The Betrayed and as a warlord amongst the Orgoth Sea Raiders. He is chained to his fell axe that he can use to deadly effect. His word is also his command and he can mark enemy troops for death. He also inspires with his own brand of brutality. The sculpt is also rocking an excellent Frazetta vibe which is cool to see.
