Mennes’ Mini-Mashup: Convergence of Cyriss’ Re-Imagined
April 21, 2016 by crew
Mr Mennes is back to join us in the studio once more to not only create some fantastic mash-ups but this time to completely re-imagine the Convergence of Cyriss from Privateer Press.
He's taking a part the mighty Cipher Model and creating a destructive scorpion-like monster which I think we can all agree, looks a lot more ferocious now! I wouldn't want to come across this guy in the deep dark woods!
You can find all of Tomas projects on his personal blog including Khador builds, Mecha Legion builds, and upcoming works he’s planned.
This episode Tomas will be showing us how to assemble the model in a new way, including some steps to make sure it fits on the base along with a neat little environment design.
What do you think of the finished model?

Very nice ! I’d be interested if you could turn their Prime Axiom colossal into something interesting and that doesn’t appear to be sitting on a turd… Maybe spaceship-like, with thrusters in the back and wings. I am unfamiliar with the pieces so I don’t know what can be done.
That model is getting a new release in abs plastic so I am certain that lots will be possible with the new kit.
I actually started on a project like that, but never finished it. I’ll see if I can put it together again and take some pictures.
An excellent conversion. It’s always interesting to see how you approach these projects from beginning to end. Any chance you might want to do a 40K conversion at some point, maybe on a vehicle, or one of the larger kits?
Good to see a Belgian wargamer club being represented! ^^ Nice video!
its golden, nice job.
… Then the Convergence gave Haqqislam a call to rent one of their new Maghariba Guard. 🙂
Cool looking corversion though. Personally I would have done something to make the legs look less spindly. The joins where they attach to the body look a bit too thin for the weight of the construction (aesthetically) in my opinion.
Perhaps I would up-armor them with some card or spare bits. Or I might get rid of the first join and put the rest of the leg on the body directly. As you said it’s all a matter of personal taste.
I agree that the canopy as a whole needs a bit more weight and could do with a bit more bulk. But when doing this project, I wanted to only use bits form the warjack itself. Making 1 warjack with lots of extra bits is fine, but when doing an army, it can get really expensive really far, so I tried to make do with what was in the box.
awesoeme! can you upgrade some khador warjacks!
I have done a lot of Khador Jacks on my blog. You can find it at whizzbang.be
We’re making plans to put some Khador jacks on film in the near future though 🙂
What a great show! Can’t wait to see more.
