A Convergence Battle Engine Powers Up For Warmachine!
November 7, 2014 by brennon
Privateer Press aren't finished when it comes to Warmachine this week. The Convergence of Cyriss are getting themselves quite an impressive looking Battle Engine called the Transfinite Emergence Projector & Permutation Servitors!
"A weapon of unrivaled sophistication, the transfinite emergence projector delivers tremendous but precise destruction. In concert with its orbiting permutation servitors, it can modulate its weaponry for pinpoint accuracy, destructive intensity, or area saturation. The servitors also function as expendable shields, ensuring the projector survives to apply its devastating force to all enemies of the Clockwork Goddess."
Well that's rather cool looking is it not? I think with the standard paint scheme that Privateer Press have gone for it really shows off the armour plating on the front. The glow is great too! It's easy to dismiss the Convergence as an army that you could just drybrush to hell and back (which is probably what I'd do) but all those gears and cogs underneath the armour look ripe for picking out with detail too.
What do you think of it?
I don’t really like that design.
I got to say that the Convergence always has a unique look to the army. Each big bot has a unified theme but never truly looking the same. This one, I don’t know what to make of it. Overall the model is nice and well thought out in design but I’m lost as to what it does. I see no weapons on this unless the orbs are the weapons.
interesting to note the materials and price. most battle engines are resin and metal, this one is plastic…
@Brennon, I am away from PC fro a few days and everything you have posted has me wondering when I can see/buy it – stop it man 😛
It’s a plastic kit! That is a wonderful thing.
This was confirmed to be a hard plastic kit on sprues. PP will be using hard plastic for mechanical models in the future.
When they say hard plastic is it PVC or the type of plastic GW uses?
They showed actual sprues on their live stream. It is probably closer to Wargames Factory or Wyrd than GW but it is not PVC.
