New Command Book Art Previewed For Privateer’s Warmachine & Hordes
September 18, 2016 by brennon
With the Rulebook out and people getting stuck into their army boxes for Warmachine & Hordes the next step is to bring the Command Books to life from Privateer Press. Well, here we have a look at the awesome artwork for the first three books...
The art style has changed drastically from their previous iterations where they showed the factions at war. Now we're getting a better look at some of their key commanders and their Warjacks/Warbeasts dominating the background.
You've seen Cygnar above but we also have one for Menoth too.
I really like this new style and it sort of fits into the theme of these Command Books. They are going to be a good way of learning more of the background behind these factions and of course explore their units and themed forces in more detail.
Hordes was not to be left out either as we got to see the art for the Trollblood book too.
It's awesome to see these new books coming to life with some stunning artwork leading the way. Which Command Book are you looking out for?

These are uber sweet and perhaps suggest who is the main character in the current edition?
The artwork is just fantastic 😀 . It looks like the new casterlocks are the centrepiece for the covers.
I love PPs artwork and think they probably have the best in the industry, gutted not to see a preview for my beloved (and underutilised) Khador and Orboros though
Pretty artwork.
But also really boring and dull. Much prefer more action-y scenes from the old books.
These are glorious, they’d look great on a wall.
Those are some great looking art work. So i assume that Command is new name for what used to be Forces of books.
amazing art work.
I really do like anything that PP does in terms of their backstory/fluff, they really do a wonderful job with art and story. I honestly think that is by far the strongest point about their company, they truly seem to be driven by quality art and story, above everything else. I would love to see them do more in terms of multi-media content, I’d love to see some well done backstory videos and/or more in terms of graphic novels/comic series, etc. They have been doing more and more novels, they released Warmachine Tactics a few years back (I wish they’d… Read more »
they look great but their art work was allways top notch in my opinion.
Thats some beautiful artwork. So this is the name for their ‘army books’. Cool. Different, but does what it says on the tin.
They look nice. I can’t wait until the retribution book is out.
This artwork looks amazing!
