Check Out Warmachine Tactics Kickstarter Warcasters!
February 6, 2014 by brennon
During the Warmachine Tactics Kickstarter they added some new Warcasters to the pledge levels and they are showing off these deadly looking miniatures now for Privateer Press' game! You can also read about them in Rites of Passage from Skull Island eXpeditions...
Now those are some very, very cool looking miniatures. I like that they all seem dynamic and interesting with plenty of flare and character to them. We saw the rules for them a while back and I guess a whole bunch of people have been aching to use them on the tabletop.
My favourite of the lot is Gastone Cross (the Mercenary Warcaster) as I think he looks the best, skulking ahead with those weapons drawn.
Can't wait for the video game either!
they look great.
Doh. Why did I pledge for Jakes and Cross? Their poses work well on paper but look pretty awkward in the metal, especially Cross. Oh well, it makes me hopeful for their “alt” sculpts that will have a public release 🙂
Those are all rather nice but I am sad to say that Khador one is little lacking compared to others.
I take it the new casters will ge going out to backers in April. Is there any word on retail release date?
Well they are set to be introduced “properly” in the Vengence book at the end of March, and I’d imagine PP want to get the KS exclusive versions shipped out first, so presumably May-ish we should see the retail versions start to hit….
Really glad I ponied up for all of the exclusive minis from this, including the extra parts to make both versions of Sturgis. And I see your point sygess about those poses on Gastone & Jakes, but all my WarmaHordes minis go on resin bases anyway so putting them at an angle should counter the more awkward elements of the sculpts…
getting all 8 myself 🙂 its been interesting seeing which models people like most… for me i love elara and andrei but aiakos is a little.. well the pose looks a little off he should be sighting down the harpoon not shaking it IMO
I only collect Cryx. I’m so looking forward to painting my Aiakos when he arrives. Time to start planning an epic diorama base for him to sit in when not hunting down enemy units and skewering them. May possibly give him Predator mottled skin and mesh patterns for giggles.
