That’s a very nice development of narrative base built up from a big flat expanse. Brilliantly done!
oh, and… first! 😉
An excellent piece of team work from John, Romain & Tomas.
It’s a really beautiful piece.
John, you mentioned the possibility of using Ivy on the wall sections. Any chance of a tutorial on making Ivy plesae.
loved you getting all artsy with the thin line of peace. the narrative behind the base was well thought out and i think the extra level of detail makes a difference to the finished look.
basing is an art in its self and framing the miniature well can take a piece to the next level.
really liked the make your own flowers section, it opens up a lot of possibilities.
great job John mate, i’m sure the lads will love it.
I second the ivy tutorial. I would like to know how to do those over grown dropzone commander
buildings you see on the hawk display table.
would be cool to see a basing series at some stage.
Looks great and a lot of great tips on bringing the whole thing together.
Oh, wow! Are you guys back from holiday break already? 😀
Great tutorial. I like the smoke idea, but I think it would look better if it were thicker, or shaped into flowing wisps of smoke.
I love how this turned out, guys.
I love that you put so much story into a base. It really makes for a better overall effect.
If I can give one tiny suggestion: I would have like to see some tonal difference between the grass on both sides of the wall. If the wild grass on the outside would have been a bit more desaturated, I think the difference between war and peace (which, as an artsy guy, I really loved) would have been even more clear.
But that’s nitpicking. Really love it, mate.
Great work John. To be honest, I think this was my favorite part of the series.
Great finish to a well made and painted mini, only problem is i some how missed the painting part by Romain so i`ll have to go find it. It`s nice to see a project take shape from concept to completion, especially when worked on by three very talented guy`s. Maybe they can do it again, be nice to see what they would come up with next. Great base Mr Lyons, i like what you have done and you have given me a few ideas for future bases. I especially like the way you did the impact craters, i will be… Read more »
great ending to fantastic cross over, I hope you will do it more often guys ! fantastic work on each step !
Beautiful ! I like the wreck a lot ! 🙂
Great work by you all. The story of the base adds so much to the model.
great work guys the base makes the model Complete hovering over its last kill scanning for fresh targets.
a +1 to all three of you guys for a brilliant team effort.
I learned a lot from this video. Thank you
really Really REALLY GOOD… Exalent.
You have don a lovely job John, only have one thing to say, the base isn’t big enough.
Is a lovely BIG model, lovely paint job on the BIG model. The base is dwarfed and its so good.
Well I suppose its all about the model, your base is really good.
