Privateer Press has now made a series Of Battlebox Starter options available for those wanting to dive into the new edition of Warmachine. This means that if any of the new 35mm miniatures for Warmachine have caught your eye, you've not got a good way to dive in and get started with just a handful of miniatures.

Each of the Battlebox Starters that you can snap up right now comes with some iconic miniatures for the faction in question plus you can get some Defences Sets as well to give you some items of terrain to drop onto the tabletop.
The Cygnar Storm Legion set comes with Major Anson Wolfe as your Warcaster as well as the Stryker Heavy Warjack and the Courser Light Warjack. As with most of the sets from Privateer Press for the new edition, you can tweak and change the Warjacks with magnets to suit the force you're playing against.
If you like the big, beefy Warjacks then you can also get the Khador Winter Korps Battlebox Starter.

This set comes with Kapitan Ekatarina Baranova as well as the Great Bear Heavy Warjack and a Dire Wolf Heavy Warjack. Very Khador with those massive kick-ass Warjacks and it's great to see Baranova kicking ass and taking names.
If you're tempted by the new "big bads" of Warmachine then you've also got the Orgoth Sea Raiders Battlebox Starter.

This allows you to get suitably evil and dastardly with the Warcaster Horruskh, The Thousand Wraths. There is also the Tyrand Heavy Warjack and the Jackals Light Warjack. Any dude with a sword that evil-looking and spikey has got to be a proper villain!
Now, we have my favourites and the anti-heroes of the new edition and the unfolding storyline. Here we have Dusk House Kallyss Battlebox Starter.

This set comes with the absolutely awesome-looking Hazaroth, Narcissar Of Ruin. I really love the pose of Hazaroth and the detail on his arms and armour. He is suitably Elven but with a great dose of that something different. I think it's because there are some heavy World Of Warcraft vibes in there. You also get miniatures for the Eidolon Heavy Warjack and the Ghast Light Warjack.
If you'd prefer to go down the traditionally "Hordes" route, then you can also pick up the awesome Southern Kriels Brineblood Marauders Battlebox Starter.

This set is another of my favourites as the Trollbloods have always been a faction that I enjoyed painting and gaming with. This comes with Admiral Bloomhowler who looks brilliant and superbly over-the-top. She is then backed up by the Reef Troll Light Warbeast and the Deepborn Dire Troll Heavy Warbeast. Yes, as you can see in the image, you can arm your Warbeast with a squid flail and a shark mace.
Last but not least, we have the Khymaera Shadowflame Shard Battlebox Starter which features the newest miniatures from the latest edition of Warmachine.

This set is another of those awesome ones that allow you to dive into the new-look factions of Warmachine and take things in a different direction. I'm still hoping for some Circle Orboros soon but in the meantime, these badass "dragons" are filling the gap quite nicely. This set comes with Rassyk, Spawn Of Shadows Warlock alongside two Heavy Warbeasts, the Hydrix and the Vipex.
Could you be tempted to dive in and snap up one of these Battlebox Starter Sets as a way of getting started in Warmachine?
