Warlord Bow Before The Gates Of Antares Boromite Matriarch
March 3, 2016 by brennon
Warlord Games have added another character to the Boromite army in Beyond The Gates Of Antares. We have a look at the Boromite Matriarch here who is going to be directing the battle from atop her floating throne...
"The primary goal of a Boromite clan is to work and amass collective wealth, and to this end they seek employment doing all the dangerous, difficult, physically and psychologically demanding jobs that are beyond the capabilities of ordinary humans. It is the Guild Mothers who determine whether a contract is acceptable, as well as other decisions such as if their clan needs to move on or divide, or whether transgressors should be punished and how."
I have to say that model-wise this is a really neat kit and I like the character that they've woven into both the Matriarch figure and the Guildess who stands before her. The Matriarch also gets two drones who are armed with plasma carbines for when things get hairy.
What do you think of this set for the Boromites?

Pretty cool new miniatures for Antares!
Where can I find a woman like that?? (Well at Warlord Games I guess) …. I got on board with the Antares Starter box. and had a few games (all unpainted ….hangs head in shame) and it is a great system. If I had to get a third army it would be boromites How can you not love gentetically engineered Mining clans. And that model , she could be my Matriarch anytime .
😉
Antares range is looking better by each new sculpt.
I think this will be a marmite sculpt but I’ve like the Boromites from the start and this fits in well with the range.
It reminds me of the old GW, fat, sitting Genestealer Patriarch model.

Probably more so because of the name and that the mini is also sat on a throne of sorts. Looks cool. You could even say; drumroll please… ‘it rocks’. 😀
whats with the bush?
🙁 I’m just not feeling it
Ditto, I love the company, the team and Bolt Action, but the Sci Fi doesn’t appeal. I Don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t appeal.
