Warlord Games is releasing more iconic characters for those diving into ABC Warriors this year. More 28mm 2000 AD goodness is on the way, building on what Warlord released last year as part of their ABC Warriors Starter Set.

Mek-Quake - ABC Warriors

Mek-Quake // ABC Warriors

The first miniature from the range is the mighty Mek-Quake. Created by Kill-Dozer, Mek-Quake is programmed for destruction and was drafted into the ABC Warriors despite that penchant for violence. He was committed to Broadband Asylum when he became too unstable but this meant he ended up being instrumental in the freeing of Volkhan and the other Volgan survivors which meant that the Volgan War came to Mars! It has been fascinating learning about the history behind this series which, I'll be honest, I didn't know anything about!

The miniature looks great, especially with the big, clanking body and then the more spindly head poking out of the top. I imagine folks are already thinking up some scenarios, perhaps based around the asylum where you get to use him for good or ill.

Next up, we have a set of three miniatures featuring Joe Pineapples, Steelhorn & Ro-Jaws.

Joe Pineapples is your elite sniper of the group who is looking to turn the tide against Volkhan on Mars. Steelhorn lumbers into the fighting with that rather mighty Implosion Hammer which might find itself used against friend and foe. Last but not least, there is the former sewer droid, Ro-Jaws. He is ready to help aid the resistance on Mars despite his small stature.

The last of the second wave is the set of Rogue Marsokhods.

Rogue Marsokhods // ABC Warriors

Volkhan, Ikon Of Iksons incited a rebellion on Mars and these Rogue Marsokhods are the ones that have thrown their lot in with him, rampaging across the Martian cities of the Red Planet. They look like they would be very fun to paint, especially if you got a few more of these and went to town with those poppy colours.

All of the miniatures that you've seen here come in Warlord Resin Plus and you'll also get the game cards to use when playing ABC Warriors. It's good that Warlord has taken the time to expand the range and show more of 2000 AD some love.

If you want all of these miniatures then you're in luck as Warlord has also put together a Wave Two Collection bundle. If you're new to the idea of ABC Warriors on the tabletop, there is even a bundle that comes with the Starter Set as well.

Will you be checking out these new ABC Warriors miniatures?
