Napoleonic Plastic British Cavalry Ride Out Soon From Warlord
January 13, 2017 by brennon
New plastic British Cavalry is riding into the world of Black Powder soon from Warlord Games. There will be two new sets...
...including the British Household Cavalry which looks fantastic in this new artwork as well as the British Union Brigade chasing off some French artillery crews.
This is a powerful nudge towards Warren picking up a proper British force for Napoleonic warfare. We can't wait to see how the plastics turn out!
What do you think of the news?

Warlord’s plastics have been going from strength to strength. Can’t wait to see these
Apart from the sheer scale and time the biggest prohibitive reason for not doing Napoleonic’s in 28mm is the cost of lead. This will go some way to alleviate the strain on the wallet.
I reckon those are French Line Grenadiers being chased through the french guns.
More reasons for me to move into black powder games!!
I’ve been very tempted lately to pick some of this stuff up, I really like the idea of massed cavalry charging across the battlefield, definitely something to look into I think.
Thanks for sharing guys 🙂
Just ups the temptation. Been considering drums and shakos as a skirmish alternative.
To Paris! To Paris!
@Warzan, you know you want to it’ll make you happy
Whilst I do welcome plastic British Cavalry and I do like the previous French Line Lancers I am slightly concerned they might going to be out of scale compared to their infantry. The lancers and their horses are smaller than they should be when they stand side by side.
Let’s wait and see but I might stick to Perry Miniatures for my Naps..
So glad these are coming out soon!
“Now Scots Grey’s Now!”
“Charge the guns – hit ’em hard boys!”
Yes plastics make Naps so much more affordable..
Space is an issue as well I find.. That’s why people tend to do Nap skirmish instead of huge battles in 28mm scale. This said I’m the opposite and love the whole ‘rank and file’ look- just wish I had a big enough table to play nap games on at home!
They look great and at some point I would like to collect Napoleonic but, I have armies of Bolt Action, Flames of War and Lord of the Rings to get done. The time painting the complex Uniforms is a major deterrent, but would be worth it when completed!
@intelligentmistertoad Painting 28mm Naps is not as scary as you think mate – just a bit of highlighting here and there, some shading and a decent wash and they look the business.
