Konflikt ’47 Unboxing: German Army Starter Set
August 9, 2016 by dignity
We have a great Unboxing for you today as we take a look at the German Starter Set for Konflikt '47 by Warlord Games, Clockwork Goblin and Osprey Publishing.
Crazy walkers and the shambling undead take this German Army into the realm of Weird World Wargaming for Bolt Action.
We'll also be exploring the background of the game too so you'll know all you need to start building an army.
Tune in on Thursday where we'll be opening up the US Army Starter Set.
Could this be the set for you?

Gehirn!!
completely sold on this, was going to go for US as I have loads of Weird War Axis and zombie nazi’s, but the Konflict ’47 zombies just look too cool. So it’s US and Germans, oh and Soviets. hmmmmmm lots of shiny there
That spider walker looks pretty cool!
Now, the one thing I don’t like about the New Panzer IV is the concept of what happened to the crew. Most “standard” WW2 tanks had 5 crew: Commander, Gunner, Loader, Driver, and assistant Driver/radio operator/bow gunner. Of those 5 crew, 3 sat in the turret [commander, gunner, loader]. Now, we could potentially assume the use of an energy weapon eliminated the need for the loader, but more than likely that physical ammunition loader would be replaced by some engineer responsible for maintaining the gravity generator/power supply for the energy weapon. So, where do the gunner, commander, and loader/engineer sit… Read more »
*Puts on Tank Gibberish hat* Let’s take a real world analogue, in this case I’m going to look at two examples. The experimental “Kugleblitz” which was a late war German AA tank based on Pz4, and the modern Striker Gun carrier LAV. Kugleblitz, when you see the images of it looks like a “weird war” tank. The turret is a sphere with twin belt fed 30mm cannon. The turret sits low, suspended on a ballbearing race on its horizontal axis. That turret is surprizingly manned, by two I believe, (like the modern Gepards) So even in what is clearly a… Read more »
This looks really nice! I really like this starter set.
That looks excellent,
I love the flexibility of being able to play two games with one army. The idea of a few drop ins and basic troopers being the same is brilliant. I realize the further down the time line you go the less true this will become but no one says you have to go that far. It is your choice.
PS not the set for me, bring on the Americans 🙂
Man, this is a must-have
a interesting tank/unit.
What do I think ? I think that this is one of the coolest starter sets I have seen in a while.
I am also thinking
1) Disparaging things about Justin and his parentage
2) I don’t need another game , I don’t need another game , ….. please no I don’t want to like this …. PLEASE STOP ME LIKING THIS !!!!!…… sobs pitifully
i like what i see, this is a great starter set.
Unfortunatly, i can’t see myself adding yet another minis game, too much already!
I completely understand the process for packaging the konflict items that are upgrades to current bolt action equipment, that being said I really can’t wait to see what we are going to be able to just do upgrades. Turrets for Stuart’s and Sherman’s will be awesome.
This is a very cool looking beginning. Looking forward to seeing where the factions end up as it continues along.
I like that spider bot
I’m loving the box set, and I’m with @Justin on the “Spider Mech”. The tank looks great, but there just seems tobe something missing to me……..not sure what but I’ll work it out, probably when I’ve got one in front of me. Liking the “Zombies”, and the dark colour scheme works great on them.
Pity there not doing a bits range for the new stuff yet, but then again they have to see how the range sell’s to start with. Can’t wait to see what they release next.
We’re looking to release seperate bitz and extras ASAP – once the initial releases have shipped…
Can’t wait to see what the community makes of the Konflikt models – BoW John has already been spotted tampering with some German equipment – adding Schurtzen to the Schwerefeld Projektor turret…
Tanks ?
And no Mister Tank in sight ?
Achtung zombies… I like this. Apart from the zombies and the spider-mech everything else can be WW2 compatible (using the regular turret on the Panzer IV so this is a winner for me).
BTW Justin, the cylindrical thing you did not recognise is the L24 version of the 75mm cannon. The other 2 are supposed to be the L43 and L48.
Through these videos so far, that German light mech still has me in awe. It is such a beautiful model, and I’d love to own it some day.
The individualy sold turrets is a gamechanger
I like this, no correction I love this, I now need this……I can’t wait to see what other units will be released for this range. Absolutely awesome !!!
I am loving this idea so much and it is so good that you can use your BA forces too. Love the Spider Mech
i miss John in this unboxing
Zzzzzap!!!!
Proof that you don’t have to be an ork to have a zzap gun. Nor do you have to be an ork to have it blow up in your face.
