Total War: Warhammer II – The Witch King Rises // Journey From Tabletop
October 11, 2017 by crew
This week Sam (aka MrStainless001) is back in the world of Warhammer as he begins his Dark Elves campaign in Total War: Warhammer II.
A long road lies ahead, but first, he needs to cement his foothold in the region, stabilise his economy and deal with some pesky Skaven who are terrorising his borders.
If you want to see Sam play through the campaign as the Skaven you can head on over and subscribe to his own YouTube Channel where he'll be uploading a new episode every Friday!
In the meantime, stick on the kettle, put the feet up and let the Cult of Pleasure massage your feet while you enjoy this episode.
Firstly turn guard mode on and skirmish mode off, secondly reapers have multi shot ammo, you should be using that against skaven instead of heavy bolts, thirdly how can you play this game so rich in lore and background fluff and not call your units by their correct titles?!?!?
Great episode to start.
I have noticed this also, skirmish mode is active for ranged units when the battle starts. So when enemy units come near they will pull back. It could be handy leaving it on but I mostly turn it off.
I am currently playing Skaven and going head to head with Lizardmen, I hope it will turn out good but I feel I am missing more of the stronger units.
I’ve found that in turn 1 you can be more aggressive, march on the skaven field army then immediately march on the settlement to the north, storm it and you’ve made an important gain before ending your first turn. I have found the Dark Elves to be a tricky one (the only faction I don’t have mini’s for!) so whilst I’m enjoying them they are a challenge.
I’ve loved this series! I watched every episode of MrStainless playing through TWWH1.
