Total War: Warhammer Getting Bretonnian Race Pack In 2017
November 8, 2016 by brennon
The Bretonnians are going to become a fully fledged member of the Total War: Warhammer line-up when their race pack comes in February 2017.
The race will be coming as a piece of free DLC next year, turning the faction into their own mighty kingdom on the campaign map. They will be commanded by one of three legendary lords - King Louen Leoncoeur, Alberic of Bordeleaux and the Fay Enchantress.
As well as being free for those who already own a copy of Total War: Warhammer they will be included in a new physical edition of the game called the Old World Edition. This will be available from retailers alongside a novella too, The Prince of Altdorf by Total War Writer Andy Hall.
Are you excited for them to become a faction in their own right?

about time… mind you, I have been enjoying building the Empire of Man by picking off all the other human factions…
Need to get back into this game
It’s good to see Bretonnians getting some respect again.
Agreed. For an army that was mostly ignored in later editions of WHFB, it’s good to see bretonnians getting some digital love.
They’re pretty much squats now, right?
Considering how things are set up in AoS universe (where you seem to have all these bubbles of reality and anything can go), then there isn’t a reason why we couldn’t have a Bertonnian faction.
Whether GW give us one, is an entirely different matter though.
There’s got to be a “normal” human faction at some point though right? It can’t all be the Sigmarites.
nice.
Looking forward to playing Bretonnia again. A Bretonnian knight of the realm was the first miniature I ever painted back in 5th edition WHFB in 96. Happy times 🙂
Bretonnians should be fun – nice and colourful, and have their own playstyle. I’m playing a dwarf campaign just now, and haven’t come across them much since they’ve stuck to their own end of the map.
I’d kinda been thinking Skaven might be putting in an appearance after a sly hint in the last DLC about keeping man sized rats at bay, but I guess that’d be too big an introduction – they might be waiting ’til part 2 of the trilogy (although they’d fit in best on the map with the Empire and Dwarves…)
