Muster The Undead With Invasion’s Hidden Kingdoms
October 10, 2013 by brennon
Warhammer Invasion from Fantasy Flight has been going from strength to strength and now they are bringing the smaller armies of the card game to the fore. Wood Elves, Skaven, Lizardmen and Vampire Counts are all getting their own capitals and heroes to lead them into battle instead of just as allies in Hidden Kingdoms!
As mentioned above this expansion takes the allied cards and gives them a whole new lease of life. They will be armies in their own right complete with a whole bunch of units that are right up to date. See what you think of them (including the epic Vlad!) below...
This looks like it could be the best deluxe expansion yet. I loved Cataclysm for the addition of multiplayer games but this one is bringing a few of the ace armies into the playable realm.
My one thing that I'm interested to know is whether or not you do need all the existing cards from the other packs to make these new full undead armies work or if you could just play with this army right out of the box? I know that you would indeed be missing out on quite a lot if you don't.
Bring on the new factions!

Dayum! Loving the new alternate win condition on Vlad. The art on the cackling hex wraith is sweet too.
I’d wager that these will be useable out of the box in the same way that factions were usable straight from the core set. I think expecting people to pick this up and also source the sporadically released neutral cards from all the other expansions would be very out of keeping with Fantasy Flight Games otherwise excellent customer focus.
I’m really looking forward to this expansion. I’m hoping the Wood Elves will be much more playable after this hits, as they’re a bit lackluster right now. The Lizardmen could also use some help.
*sigh* still no help for the four Bretonnian cards released so far.
Warhammer Invasion is such an underrated game.
This expansion strengthens the four factions that will make them competitively viable alongside their counterparts.
Cant wait for it to be released!
